The Navy PFA could literally be an upper body strength assessment. Most cardio is covered by climbing up ladder wells.

Maybe im not in shape 216lbs but i came from working 18 hours or like 35 hours without going to sleep in the oilfield last year, heavy stuff and dangerous im 39 years and i was trying to join army last year but my asvab was like 34 or 35 they told me that i need to sign for 20 years total because i will not get any benefits if i join only 4 or 8 years, so now i saw navy have less requirements, and my pushups are maybe only 5 😂😂😂 but i can run 3 or 5 miles easy and walk several miles, but in the oilfield we dont have time to go to gym, so do you think i can join navy right now???

I'm not going to lie, I need to lose 20lbs to get back into shape when I was in the Navy. Working on it though. I could still easily pass the PFA. Submarine food is a great way to lose weight, but not a method I would suggest 😅

But yeah, you go straight to A school. I'm going over seas, so I get a month off AFTER A school. To see fam and friends before I ship off to Sicily.

@@renaissancejuan It's one of the best paying but being on a sub for six months isn't my idea of a good time. I would advise you to finish your degree and then go in with a commission. It may have changed but a looong time ago when I enlisted, nuclear power ratings had to make a six year commitment. Something to consider.

Dude to be honest it’s not worth it anymore they took away the good retirement and the navy is undermanned meaning you’ll get screwed. Do you know what a duty day is in the Navy look it up it’s not worth your time or energy. Join the Air Force or a any branch that doesn’t have a stupid ass duty day(I’m on my Duty rn…..)

Both my great grandpas served during ww2. One was a decorated Army medic who literally hid under a dead Nazi body and was found two days later and almost died. The other was in the Navy and did a full 2 year deployment on the USS Maryland, no ports. I have his cruise book. He was the meanest dude ever. I’m glad we’re not dying in a world war, but they better sharpen these fools up before China and Russia try to catch these hands.
