In November I’ll be six years in the Navy, and I’ve thought about making videos about basic quals, like POOW, MOOW, DCPO, and RPPO, so new Sailors or future Sailors will be able to use those videos to help them. As an AO, I’ve also thought about making videos about the different divisions in the Weapons Department, and the responsibilities they each have and also what roles leadership plays such OHO, Air Gunner and the Gun Boss, because for some reason a lot of folk that ain’t ordinance thinks all AOs do is stack, push and carry bombs all day, which is far from the truth. But I decided not too, because in fleet folk are always looking for something to complain about. Nicki is a good guy, but with some of his videos he has made in the past, I could see where if someone within in his leadership wanted to make an issue of his content how it could happen. Also i will tell future Sailors this, and this is probably what Nicki is dealing with. In the Navy your leadership is a revolving door. Since I’ve been in I’ve already work for like 10 different Chiefs, 12 different 1st, 4 different Divos and 5 different COs. Some have been cool, some have been whatever. But appears Nicki has encounter some leadership that isn’t too fond of his content.

Funny story about me kinda dealing with some backlash. Back when I was in. My friends and me made a hardcore punk band and recorded a demo CD. It was mostly my friends venting about their command. I was out of the navy but my friends were still in. I made a music video for one of our songs and uploaded it to KZbin. The song was called Fuck 115. Somehow cag heard about it. The CO and XO were pissed. They called the guy who did the vocals in the office and asked him if that was him. He told them no but he knew who did it. He asked me to take it down. I only did it because my friends were still in.

When I was active duty, I stayed away from the controversial stuff to avoid getting dunked on by the CoC. In fact, I had a lot of my shipmates (and ones I would never expect too) speak very positively about my videos. Of course, when I started out I had a bit of a scare from someone saying that if the CoC finds my videos I'd get masted and stuff. But I looked through the online conduct guideline to make sure my content was sat and it was. Point being, LEARN THE GUIDELINE AND FOLLOW IT! Especially if you're active duty.

It figures, as much as i loved being an HM and serving and look back fondly i think that the military uses you up and spits you out. Specifically if you question their methods or criticize things they do. If you contribute to the recruiting or brainwashing then your good. But if you question what they do, Like how they have watered down training, allowed for looser regs. I mean currently i believe the military is a joke right now. I know i sound like an old person complaining about kids these days but its not the recruits fault its the chain of command.
