Apparently a bunch of official licensed Garfield plushies that came in different colors and moods were released at some point. The green Garfield looks like he's about to hurl (from Jon's cooking, maybe?) but it's so funny and healthier-looking that this version.

I ACTUALLY HAVE THAT BOOTLEG GARFIELD 🤣 Okay, funny story: I wanted a plushie of Garfield for Christmas last year and I did end up getting one. So while I was waking up everyone to come downstairs, my dad was putting our presents on the bar next to the Christmas tree so our dog Winston wouldn't be able to get them so easily. The second time I came downstairs, I saw the bootleg among the other presents on the bar, and I knew it wasn't what I was expecting, but I knew I had to be grateful for whatever I received. So when we were unwrapping our presents, my mom put the bootleg Garfield on my shoulder, and I quoted a Garfield meme that we all laugh at. I was trying so hard to be a good sport about receiving a bootleg. Then my mom said the bootleg Garfield is "meant for the whole family" and gave me the real, official Garfield plushie in wrapping paper. I had pretty much just gotten bamboozled in a way. My mom says that while she was looking for a Garfield plushie for me, she came across that infamous bootleg and it was just impossible for her and my dad not to buy it.
