The ugly Air Tru(c)ks

In our 'Ugly Aircraft!" video the Bennett PL-11 and the Transavia PL-12 were named as the ugliest aircraft. Here we look at these two "odd" aircraft in more detail.

The PL 12 came to prominence for many in the, "Mad Max films", with Bruce Spence as the pilot.

I had the chance to fly the first 400 hp version in the early 80s My two impressions were Taxiing felt like standing in a shopping trolley waiting to fall forward when you touched the brakes and second, when you rolled hard in a reversal turn you needed both hands to pull the stick back to Center. Unusual plane to say the least.
