Daily reminder that the Solar Auxilia were NOT the common soldiery, that would be the Imperial Army, the predecessor to the Guard/Astra Militarum. The Solar Auxilia were the most elite soldiers from the Army given extra training and fancy gear, they're more comparable to the Stormtroopers/Tempestus Scions in modern 40k.

@@RoseKindred 1) The regular flashlight of 40k basically murders everything that isn’t heavily armoured or extremely tough, even Orks are far, far from immune to lasfire 2) Solar auxilia uses beefy weapons : better lasguns, volkites (aka BETTER LASGUN), plasma etc) 3) Tempestus Scions are basically bruce waynes in space (without the plot armour, plot brain or funny bat disguises) forming special forces corps… Wel, Auxilia are basically this but in much greater numbers as shock troops

I mean honestly, the Emperor is almost a 1-1 match with Paul Atreides, if we consider the massive worm just another iteration. I think I would've liked the design more if the missile pods and main guns were to switch locations and numbers. Though maybe move up the main guns a bit to attached to the exterior part of the swivel joint so they can shoot downwards enough to be hitting the ground at their feet.
