My Jeep I had years ago did that and I put a bottle of I fuel injector cleaner from Walmart and it solved my problem.

When I go to an unfamiliar area, I try to notice businesses that have been open for a long time. For instance, one business was a hardware store which was owned and operated by an older gentleman. If I need service of any kind on my truck, I ask those older established business owners, " If you need service, what shop do you take your truck/car to?" I have always had good luck with shops that are recommended by people like those.

Check fuses & get a code device to help you at least know what might be the issue.

By the way, that code reader is by a company called Alltech. I make nothing for that. I just have one in my garage way back when I had a 21-year-old GMCSierra that I had brand new and I finally gave up the GMC Sierra, but I still have the nice little code reader.

I will definitely be investing in a code reader. Playing the guessing game get you nowhere on the newer vehiclels.

A couple of things on the truck and inexpensive. I would say middle of the road $150 code reader for your truck as well as any other vehicle just keep it in your toolbox and the other thing on the battery. There is such thing as Patrick parasitic draw and you already know that from camping sometimes the lights and also be on but it’s just underneath what it would take to start your vehicle. I think you need at least 12.4 V for that truck to turn it over and you might have 12.1 now all the lights will operate and everything else but not enough to kick it over.

I thought it was the battery because after charging it, the truck started right up. I even drove it. But after letting the truck site it wouldn't start again. I had it towed to the dealership where I was told it's something electrical. I'm still waiting to hear back about the cost to fix it.

Your issue with the truck sounds very similar to the issue I had with my Chevy. I changed my battery and still kept happening. The dealership had it in several times. It ended up being my positive battery cable had high resistance and so it wasn’t sending the proper voltage to the engine. Once it was changed it fires up ever time.

The dealer did find out the issue. They said that it was something electrical related. I called in to Ford and got them involved. Im glad that you were able to find your issue. I know now how stressful electrical issues can be. Thank you!

I have a 1985 Cadillac and I let it sit too long in the garage now the battery is no good. Even though it's only two years old. you may need a new battery. good luck

Hey Lov your video s , to start . Your truck by what you are saying it’s a bad battery.. . Had a vehicle do exact same thing . Had a bad cell in it that would short .. the van ,, wow. As much I hate too I do all my work myself so I could not imagine paying that . I wouldn’t. Have the tools but I would go buy what I needed to save $ Sorry to here these problems.. it’ll only get better ..safe traveling

I'm going to tell from experience that you need to take your vehicle to the dealership. It usually costs a little more, but it usually pays for itself as they warranty their work and are on point with anything going on with your vehicle. Now, I have used backyard mechanics, but only the ones I'm used to using where I live. Otherwise, when traveling, the dealership is your friend. We've been living in our 5th wheel and traveling the country for about 2 1/2 years. It sounds like you may have an alternator problem. Good luck and safe travels...

Your right! I chose to use the dealer when it came to my truck. So glad I did. They were able to determine to that it was the main computer that was the problem. In now back up and running. Safe travels to you as well.

We are over 60’s and bought a new camper and truck our hope is to get back home to Dade city area near family to retire and live full time in our camper in Florida to retire till we die lol. New at this you have given us great pointers and still learning. I don’t know if my suggestion will help you but I’m gonna give it a go….I have a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee…. It has the electric push start/stop button….so I don’t know if this might help but try switching relays 1-5

What are the instructions for installing the eco generator? Do you have to have an electrical outlet or is it total solar?

The Eco is a power station. Not installation needed. You can charge it up either by solar, car cigarette lighter or you can charge it up with a regular house 120v outlet.

My husband F150 did the same thing. It was electronical issue. He got an attorney to go against Ford and they took the truck back and he got another. It would run for a couple days and then wouldn't start.

Make them give you the bad parts so you can take them back to prev repair shop. You want a breakdown on all the parts replace. So if you have to go to BBB on them. Sound like your starter on truck? Hope they can repair or replace. This to shall pass.

Easier said than done and it will take you some time but learn to fix your own vehicles(basic stuff, I'm not talking about rebuilding an engine), like brake pads and brake rotors. Battery issues in your Ford could be a bad battery with a shorted cell that won't hold a charge or it could be a parasitic draw draining the battery. The you tube channel SOUTH MAIN AUTO is great. He explains how he figures out the problem and he done with parasitic draws and how to tell if you have that problem. It's never fun to be away from home and have to depend on people you don't know to fix your vehicle. Good luck and Safe Travels.

No I didn't. I left it connected to see if it would start. The truck did start a couple more times after taking the charger off.

Battery could be low on distilled water. That looks like a wet cell battery, and with all your FL travels, it can run dry or low on water. If your battery is over 4 years old, replacing in will probably solve your problems. Best of luck with this repair.

Be glad you don’t have a dually! Just my front brakes on my f350 ran almost a grand! And that’s from my mechanic that I’ve used for years! Also , the f350 has 2 batteries! I just replaced both for around $450. I really don’t think you’re being taken advantage of. The cost of almost everything has gone up!

Is it the alternator or starter? Im downsizing my storage unit so in the process of moving stuff yesterday I lost the "new " keys to the new storage unit so I had to get a locksmith which costed me $150 😭😭😭😱😱😱 along with having to pay on 2 storage units this montn $280 total so yeah I'm dieing inside, had to pick up an extra side hussle at a local chinese restaurant as well😜

They have a 3 tier approach the site we are getting will be 1300 a month. Florida is expensive during that time but in some places with nothing e en more. We really feel in love with the staff, park amenities, and structure. Most of all community that interact.. we plan to do a deeper dive when we stay for a few days .. so more to come
