Dear Dr. Khan, I need your advice on my situation. I am trying to decide what route to go with to practice in the UK. I have two options. 1. To go through Internship route. My internship has to be 2 years long, as 1 year will not be accepted by GMC (I have 6 years gap since I graduated). 2. Go to Foundation year 1 (FY1), through provisional license, without doing an internship. My question to you is: which route is less competitive, taking in consideration the way the medical world has changed due to pandemic. Should I sacrifice 2 years for internship, or should I apply directly into FY1? I really need your advice. Both ways I have to take PLABs, but for FY1, I have to also take CA and SJT tests, which are not difficult.

Sir, I have problem with OET and IELTS I haven't taken any of these exams, but I really fear. I can't do better in mock tests. I am almost done with my PLAB 1 preparation, but OET/IELTS is a challenge.... Please be a guide Thanks

Hello Dr, thanks for this great information here, your blog and FB. I have consulted all three of them and have found very helpful. I want to apply for GP recruitment schemes in UK (England or Scotland) my 1st question basically is, after PLABs can I apply for these recruitments ( which are for ST1) ? Or what recruitment scheme should I look for ? And my 2nd question is, I have read there is a document called "Certificate of Readiness to Enter Specialty Training" (which is a document to demonstrate that you have finished foundation years or equivalent) is this applicable to IMG's ? Thank you in advance
