What are the four ships Holland, Chrysler, Zeeland and Gronigan that the UK want to replace.? They are not in my Royal Navy list. The only similar mission ships are Albion, bulwark and the four Mount class. Please explain.

The Dutch are a Monarchy too, those were Dutch vessels names as they have a King now too.

The Dutch had Marines before us Brits, instead we had normal Infantry at first. The USMC were much later. So the first 2 Professional Marines working together should be positive. The UK Defence Budget is still about 25% BELOW what is needed, I have included all the promised increases. The British Army is way too small and we reduced our Royal Marines down by a third = STUPID!

They need to make fishing platform. On the 90 percent of slow time the men can fish. We did on the LPH3 USS Okinawa. Fresh fish was a good change of diet.

American San Antonio class can be the solution for both countries and they can build the ships in their own yards. That will save money and will help the US Navy to keep building the strongest amphibious force in the world

You should go try sell them to the British and Dutch then but be warned the Brits and the Dutch have a long history of collaborating and making excellent vessels together where as they don’t with the USA just the weapons part.

What is needed are smaller, heavily armed and incredibly fast (minimum 50/60 knots) patrol boats with gas turbine engines and with armaments fired by the commander/second in command therefore using significantly less crew. The boats to be built using airplane technology making them very light but incredibly strong. Armament to comprise anti-air, anti-ship and anti-submarine missiles and light but very fast torpedoes.

The USA spent billions and is now scrapping its (in my opinion it’s true) stupid Littoral Combat Ships. What are these naval types smoking? Unless you have an answer to Tsirkon missiles your ship, any ship will become a submarine really quickly! So don’t waste huge amounts of money, producing a missile carrier equipped with very good missiles rather makes more sense. Just make it so the missile bay can be changed to accommodate different missiles in a refit as time goes on. Learn from Russia, a little Corvette could be hugely destructive to a carrier group….now that’s Naval power. The west is way way behind LTC’s are definitely not the way to fix that! We seem to have a surfeit of non thinkers in high positions, can’t we export some?

I don't think anyone should be looking at Russia as the standard. Being their flagship Moskva, many other ships and a submarine are sitting on the seafloor because of a country that doesn't even have a navy. The US is in good shape. They're building more of the most capable destroyers on the planet, Arleigh Burkes. They've started building one of the most heavily armed frigates on the planet, Constellation class. They're building the best amphibious assault ships, America class. They're building the best aircraft carrier's, Ford Class. They're still building the San Antonio class ships. The Zumwalt class are being refitted with hypersonic missiles. They're building 66 Virginia class submarines. Not to mention the huge drone fleet of ships and submarines they're building. The littoral class could be a great class of ship if they just armed them better. The only aircraft carrier Russia has is beyond repair and it had to be escorted by tug boats.

U.K. has the fourth biggest defense budget and the most powerful navy in Europe. The Royal Navy will have 24 destroyer and frigates by 2030. Fleet is growing where it needs too. The Royal Navy offensive capabilities are being transformed into one of the best in the world.
