All your work on this car makes me appreciate how much work goes into building millions of cars from the factory. I know the cars didn't come out perfect and they have tools and procedures to make it quicker and more eficient, but man, there is a lot of fiddley detail work that goes into a car. The only stationary piece of glass in my '28 Pontiac is the rear window, for which I have a new seal, much like the ones for the mustang, only much smaller. I will be applying the techniques you showed here when I install that window. Looking forward to what you have to say about weather proofing the roll-down windows, as I have 7 of those. including the front window, although that is a roll-up.

The devil's in the details and it was good to show these steps. I learned from this video, good instructional! As far as the windshield being reused, I think I would have replaced that front glass, but cost parameters do dictate and this car has much invested already. I'm guessing the windshield glass is around $400? Thanks for the '65 update, much appreciated. 👍😎

Taut is an adjective that is most often used to refer to something that is pulled tight, like "a taut rope," or is bulging or filled to capacity, like "taut muscles." Taunt is a noun and a verb that refers to teasing or making fun of a person.

My friend has been working on a 68 Camero. Who ever put the rear window in his car used black silicone sealer. Well you know the headache we had trying to put the trim back on that rear window. Razor blades and a lot of curse words. He wouldn't tell me who he had put the window in. Maybe it was him, LOL

@ approx 28 min. Letting the gasket relax. I do commercial refrigeration for a living. The replacement door gaskets are wrapped up a bit for shipping in smaller boxes. I soak them in hot tap water to help them relax from shipping as most have an accordion section and a magnet to make the seal. Or a heat gun if it they cool too fast. I wonder if that would work for your gaskets instead of heating the entire shop. I bet a 5 gal pail 3/4 full of hot tap water would work just fine.

I bought a Volkswagen Golf one winter. I thought the windshield was frosted up. Turns out, when they media blasted the car to repair front end damage, they didn't protect the windshield or headlights. Young and inexperienced, I bought it anyway. I had the windshield replaced later and just left the headlights the way they were.
