My JEEP is a rescue JEEP also, from a Toyota dealership. I did my build on my back in my driveway. Right now it's 20 Degrees, so my build goes on hold. A true JEEP build is really never done. There's those times when it's drivable and those times when you're in the middle of a mod. I've admired your build, and your driving ability for some time. Keep on rollin.

Hell, I bought my 2016 JKU Sport at a FORD Dealership in 2023 with 32,000 miles on it. Being retired, I have to watch my money going out. But, I’ve done a bunch of good stuff to improve the jeep. I was lucky finding this jeep with such low mileage and with a 3 inch lift already installed. Not a hardcore four wheeler anymore. Just like going out and spending time outside with the jeep, wife and our two beagles. Do have plans on putting a HEMI in it sometime soon. Mainly for more power pulling hills with all the additional weight from bumpers, skids and 35’s with a spare 35 also. And a re-gear to 4.56 gears soon. I can do most of the work myself being that I have a mechanic background. It’s just that I don’t have the best of places to do an engine swap or some of the tools needed like a hoist and welding equipment being the main bigger tools needed. Keep the great videos coming. Happy wheeling

I hope you have better luck than I did with the switch works. Mine only lasted 6 rides in my buggy. It didn't survive the heat at Trail Hero last year. I had issues with the plug ins to the brain as well. Make sure you support the wires going into the brain. I ended up changing to a switch pro.

I was having trouble keeping up with Marlon and his built JKU and JLU, and I wasn’t meant to be a passenger, I’m a driver through and through. So once we started modifying my jeep to the next level to keep up with the more difficult trails we were wheeling, it kinda spiraled out of control 😅🙌🏽

Thank you for answering my second question on how much it costs
@offroadnchill2 күн бұрын
The jeep itself cost me $20k(stock) Modifications and labor $100k+
@a1racer4412 күн бұрын
ill tell you up front the problem with asking costs is, if you have to ask its probably out of your budget. i recently started buying everything to get my JT on 42's we are talking dynatrac axles 60/80 that's 20k plus more like 27k alone. mickey 42's nonsticky plus 4 beadlock wheels is like 6k-7k alone. my JT will be an easy 100k plus when done when you include suspension and everything. again this isn't bragging this is just the harsh reality of this kind of build and the offroad and chill is easily way more when you consider a lot of the custom work.
@offroadnchill2 күн бұрын
It’s not for the faint of heart. I hate talking numbers because even if you lay it out the next question is inevitably “how” or “why”
@bustedknucklepulling18262 күн бұрын
I always ask so I know how much I saved by building my own!
@a1racer4412 күн бұрын
@ yeah the why question always kills me, it’s like any other hobby but with larger and more expensive parts.
@a1racer4412 күн бұрын
@@bustedknucklepulling1826 even building yourself isn’t that cheap though I mean you save some labor but parts is still expensive. I do respect the diy though but I don’t have the skill set for it.
@Orange_Quarter2 күн бұрын
So obviously, you deleted the airbag with your old steering wheel. Did you pull the fuse before you switched it out? I'm not sure if both airbags are on the same fuse, but if not, have you disconnected the passenger airbag as well?
@offroadnchill2 күн бұрын
Didn’t remove any fuses.
@Orange_Quarter2 күн бұрын
So then, your passenger airbag is still active? I ask because there have been debates about whether or not to disconnect your airbags, especially with the type of stuff y'all do, for fear of accidentally deploying them. I was just curious if y'all did that or not.
@offroadnchill2 күн бұрын
Yeah I hear you, I haven’t really thought of that. I’ve hit some things pretty hard, and nothing yet. I don’t really ever have a passenger so not too terribly concerned, but thanks for bringing it up, I’ll think on it!
