I use a NUX MG-30 for my EQ and modulation/reverbs/delay effects on my pedalboard, and it's fantastic. Every Katana competitor so far has had a fatal flaw that keeps it from being truly great; this might have a chance to play on Boss's level. Great tones!
@justice100forwin2Ай бұрын
Do you use analog drive pedals with your MG-30 , and if so do they sound good with the amps and effects in the MG-30? If it handles pedals I'm going to get one.
@cliftongardner4367Ай бұрын
@@justice100forwin2 Yes, I’m currently running an EHX tubes for my low-medium gain into a Westminster Effects 2716 (Mesa Dual Rec-in-a-box) for my high gain into the NUX. You have to do some tweaking with a parametric EQ (which I place at the very front of the chain) coming out of the MG30 because it bizarrely adds a lot of top end, but once I do this I just apply it to any patches I’ve made. Sounds great at any volume, although the MG30 has a lot of input gain so I simply mark where unity volume is so I don’t just absolutely slam the preamp tubes of my Traynor tube amp. It’s got a great tuner built in, the looper is great for practice, and the effects sound great. Once I got it tweaked right, I just pretty much set it and forget it. Works well as a DI for acoustic too!
@cliftongardner4367Ай бұрын
@@justice100forwin2I should mention I’ve not tried running the pedals into the amp sims in the MG-30 either DI or into a PA.

Hi everyone, While I referenced the NUX 20 and 40 video going up before this, the order was changed and that video will be up soon so stay tuned. These are great practice amps and the 60 has been my practice tool recently. 0.5 watts is perfect for home practice. The other video will follow asap so please excuse the references to it for now. :) 🛒 Official - www.nuxaudio.com/mighty60mkii.html 🛒 Amazon Australia - amzn.to/4ehInFY 🛒 Amazon Canada - amzn.to/3XGInrL 🛒 Amazon UK - amzn.to/4dh3sih 🛒 Amazon DE - amzn.to/3THQIKM 🛒 Amazon Italy - amzn.to/47CmkY5 🛒 Amazon es - amzn.to/3XHDu1S 🛒 Thomann - bit.ly/3N0w3Oj (affiliate links)

I bought a Nux mighty lite bt and loved the sounds. My issue is the volume. I could not control it, no matter how I went. I used internal settings, amp settings, you name it. From YT "review/Advertisement" videos I didn't like the 20 MKII (8") at all, this one does sound good, I haven't used that many amps and I'm a home user but my impression regarding speaker size are, 8" open back don't have that good of a sound, lack bass, 12" too much, So my next amp will be 10", alternative option is a multi effect unit with studio speakers, 6.5" or 8" is the "hot spot"for me, I'm between MG400 and MG30, MG30 better specs but kinda old, don't want to buy it only for them to release new unit after a month, now I'll probably add the Mighty 40 MKII as an option too.

I have the Mighty Space amp and love it. Interested in that speaker, for the 30 watt speaker out in the M. S. especially if it’s 4 0hms. How long is the loop time? And is the FX loop moveable? Of course it is I just it in the block. One more ? How’s the Mono Octave? If it has one. Mine sucks.

I can’t shake my head hard enough when people complain about advanced technology. God forbid anything change. If this said Fender on the front and had a tube in it somewhere all these get off my lawn whiners would love it. Let them lug those 60 pound amps and all the pedals they need to a sound good. I’ll save both my money and my back and enjoy this amp. Just like I enjoy my iPhone relative to my old rotary phone bolted to the wall.

Do you prefer this or the old Mustang III V2? Especially for the Fender modeling amp who do you think is more realistic, thanxs
@intheblues4 күн бұрын
The software on this is a lot better and the tone is very similar. The Mustang III V2 might be the best fender digital modelling amp ever so if you like those tones, it's hard to beat. This does a better mid-high gain tone and the interface on the top is a lot better not having a screen if you like old school amps.

These guitar gear that rely in the usage of computer software or phone apps to extract all of its potential worry me. Will I be able to use these in full potential 10 years from now? And 20 years from now? It seems silly to worry about such a distant future, but guitars, amps, and pedals are between the few things that are not made to be trashed in a few years. There are guitars, amps, and pedals that are 50 years old and still sound great today. I don't like the way everything is being turned into smartphones. Every guitar gear that is digital, in some way, is made to last way less than the analog devices. In some way, I feel safer buying the old reliable guitar pedals and simpler guitar amps that don't rely on digital technology. Specially if the interface is not 100% contained in the device itself. If you have a POD2.0, the sounds may not sound as perfect as the devices being released today, but, at least, you can still access all of it's sound just clicking on its interface.
@inthebluesАй бұрын
NUX have had the same software for their computer for years now. It basically works with all their amps. Their app has a huge list of amps that it can connect to. I agree, though it's always worth thinking about. Once this amp is set up you can ditch the software and recall a bunch of presets you make which is nice.
