Hello and Welcome to my AFK Nightmare Zone Guide! As someone who often likes to train combats in an efficient and AFK manner this is one of my favorite ways to go about that. NMZ gives amazing exp, while being extremely AFK, and allowing you to get nightmare zone points at the same time. I go through many different gear and boss setups for this guide in hope to give everyone an option that is looking to try out NMZ. I hope you enjoy!

Bosses that Melee only (for AFK NMZ): Trapped Soul Count Draynor Sand Snek King Roald The Kendal Me Skeleton Hellhound Tree Spirit Khazard Borelord Black Knight Titan Bouncer Black Demon Ice Troll King (if in Hard mode). Headless Beast has a special attack that hits through prayer.

headless beast is not a good recommendation for AFK + P Pots as it will hurl a boulder from above which hits thru protect from melee

headless beast has a special attack that makes rocks fall from the ceiling, doing 10-15 damage each time, preventing you from just using prayer pots

So I'm starting out with the prayer and protecting melee, but the headless beast seems to do an attack with a rock that doesn't deal melee damage but something else? Not very afk if I have to like listen for that.

Something pretty huge was missed here. With lower stats, especially under 92 hp, full obsidian is better XP/hr than dharok. You don’t want to swap to DH until 92hp for consistent XP/hr. Also, even at higher levels, DH requires much more focus. Maximum 5min afk, and XP rates will plummet with DH if you go too long without overloading. Run obby or full Bandos and use super combats, and you get around 10min afk with consistent XP rates similar to the 5min afk dharok method. Dh is only better XP if you’re less afk and consistently staying overloaded while keeping hp at 1 or 2.

BTW i have full bandos BIS everything except infernal cape (i have fire cape) and rada's blessing 4 (I just use regular blessing). Is this still better than obby setup?

@@jacob6668 I repot at 110 str, and I can get about 100k XP/hr full afk. It’s like 90-95k if you let the super cb run out. The gear I run is Bandos, faceguard, prims, torture, b ring(I), ferocious gloves, fire cape, d defender, and a whip. Full obsidian armor, Abby sword, and berserker necklace with everything else bis melee will also get you good XP per hour. I’d test both and see which works better with your stats. I run locator orb, 5 super cb, and a bonecrusher in the inventory, and the rest just absorptions. The bosses listed in this video work great. Just anything that attacks with melee, doesn’t have some special attack that stuns or something, and doesn’t need special gear to kill. With that setup, I run 3-4 hour dreams and usually get 95-100k XP/hr doing about 10min afk between repotting and locator orbing back down.

@@Inscipio okay I also have ghrazi rapier and avernic defender, basically bis everying other than radas blessing 4. I have dragon claws, and so the prayers on the entire time are piety and protect from melee? but how do you with just absorptions?

So I’m 97 att, 99 str, 95 def. I’ve been using bandos, torva full helm, prims, fire cape, barrows gloves, ave defender an rapier. I’m getting like 80-95k an hr, varies a lot. Even got 106k n hr with overload. Question is. Is there anything I can do better far as gear and weapon to getting better xp. ?

they respawn endlessly until you die, it's a lot better than crabs

fang is horrible damage vs low armor targets even a whip would be better whole point of fang is it rolls its accuracy twice end of the day fang is a slower weapon so dont use it vs low armor if you care about xp hr

Arrg is terrible for AFKing because he just munches your absorption points from anywhere he's standing while you fight other things, if multiple of him spawn it's so bad.

all i can say is make sure you're eating rock cake or locator orb until 1hp and use the lowest defense bosses you can.

The monsters are only able to damage for the max amount of hitpoints you have. So if you are at 1 hp, they are only ever able to hit for 1, therefore only taking 1 point away from your absorption potion.

First-- great guide -- A few things u missed that i will mention for ya -obsidian with berzerker necklace is great for afk with absorbs and super combats(afk and high xp rates) -using salve enchanted (ei preferable) with trapped soul and headless beast is a great way to boost xp per hour. (Sadly those are the only 2 that have the "undead" requirement so moss guardian, count and snake would be the next best 3) -again, awesome guide just missed a few points ;)

@@cryptok9185 they are bosses of quests you have completed, so most likely. But with absorb pots and a rock cake u should be fine. Just dont afk. Take a sip of absorb, rock cake down to 1 hp, fill up on absorbs and smack em. Dont pick anything that poisens (like lizardman boss)
