THE ULTIMATE ALL-AMERICAN FOOD CHALLENGE! | 25,000 Calories | Twins vs. Food

The only thing more American than hot dogs, s’mores, and apple pie is over-consuming those very foods which was the absurdly inspired thought that lead us to constructing a 25,000 calorie menu of our favorite classic American eats for this week’s food challenge!
With southern staples like cornbread, pecan pie, and banana pudding to now globally embraced creations such as the chocolate chip cookie and peanut butter & jelly sandwich, this week’s Takedown featured all foods that reflect the history of the United States consumed in great, American excess.
This was such a fun food challenge to pull together between the wide variety of items we grew up on and a few new favorites like the Southern Buttermilk Pie!
We hope y’all enjoy this week’s challenge half as much as we enjoyed those S’mores bars which, to be honest, would be hard to imagine with our degree of enthusiasm around those things.

FAQ’s:
Q: How do you not gain weight?
A: Endurance sports (primarily running, cycling and some resistance training tossed in) and extreme discipline & sacrifice with our daily diets is how we manage not to gain weight. We eat mostly vegetables, fruits, some whole grains and low fat dairy on the days outside these challenges. The calories consumed in a food challenge are the only calories consumed that day and sometimes the day following as well seeing our appetites are typically shot from so much food and the thought of eating is very off putting. Two days out we are back to large amounts of vegetables and increase to maintenance from there. We also often eat most of our days calories in a smaller eating window (we frequently bounce between intermittent fasting & OMAD diet as it just seems to work with our lifestyles and eating preferences). Anyone with a larger than normal stomach capacity like us, the drive to push through the discomfort of a challenge like this, and a basic understanding of energy balance (calories in vs calories out) can do it with enough disciple and intention (not that we recommend it).
Also worth mentioning is that we do not exercise to burn the calories consumed in a challenge but rather we are able to consume higher calorie diets due to our love for endurance sports and said discipline with our daily diets.
Q: Can you make a “What I eat in a day” / fitness focused video?
A: While we’re sure that type of video will eventually make its way out there, we are only able to produce one piece of quality content with our current schedules. We’re still in the very early stages of establishing ourselves within the food challenge genre and we’re constantly experimenting & trying to improve upon our style to make our channel/challenges a unique experience. This channel in particular will most likely always primarily revolve around food challenges but, if this ever became a legitimate source of income and we were able to focus our full attention towards creating content, our goal would be to start a second channel to offer more of a look into that side of our lives. So, for now, food challenges are the name of the game.

However, the “is it technically Italian or American” debate was pretty strong on that one, so we almost did a Chicago deep dish, and then decided on a burger instead for our more controversial item (technically originated in Germany, although considered American cuisine 🤨). Yup! Certainly some day when we have more time beforehand. Usually do these things pretty late in the day with our busy schedules and the thought of the added stress and time of going through all that is usually undesired. Will have to make sure we carve out enough time to film the whole process with that one as well to avoid the calorie police from saying we fudged the numbers and faked it 😆😆 (one of the ways pre packaged food saves us some headache and the reason we put our menus in the description box! Anyone can feel free to redo our math if they want to accuse us of inflation 😁). All that to say, probably sometime! Thanks for the suggestion!

Hello guys , watching this thinking, have you ever done a peanut butter and jelly sandwich muckbang challenge video? Cause I have an idea that I actually told you guys about in a previous video. That is to take one or two bananas. Split them in half down the middle and pile them on inbetween two pieces of bread and squash it down with the palm of your hand. Just make sure it’s clean first.peanut butter is of course optional

Awesome video... as always! Fun fact, I used to work at McDonald’s when they fried those apple pies. But just like at the bakery I lost all cravings for McDonald’s because of working there. I also just wrote my final accounting paper about nestle and Hershey (comparing ratios and yes of course I pick chocolate manufacturer companies) and that surprised me during research about Hershey owning rights to sell Kit Kat in the U.S. It seems like you guys are having a much easier time hitting 20k then you used to when you first started. I have never had those s’mores bars or the buttermilk pie. So now I will have to try them! Thank you! See you next week! 🙃

Thanks for the love! Haha, yeah being around just about anything day in and day out will make ya pretty uninterested after a while 😆 Dang, that’s all really interesting. Sounds like a fun paper to work on! And yeah, much like anything, the more you do it the better you get at it and the easier it becomes! Couldn’t come close to what we’re doing now last year at this time 😅 consistency and constantly pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone really is the key to growth. Much love!
