I need to go visit them. I'm working on the build spec for my 2016 Tundra double cab. I haven't finalized what order I will do things in. I suspect I'll do suspension (except rear springs), wheels, tires & bumper first. Then add the rear springs once I'm ready to put the cabin on. Since I will be full-time, I've decided to go with Webasto Evo 40 heater - I don't want to mess with constant propane tank changes. I may go with a floor mounted water tank to get the weight lower - and I wouldn't mind an extra 7 gallons if I can fit it in. I debated adding a water heater but I think I'll use the Gyser System shower - just hoping 95F is warm enough - guess I can test that at home. I'll be doing my own electrical, plumbing, and cabinets - the only way I can afford to do this. I'll also do my own suspension install, along with the compressor & air plumbing. As much as I like the Red Arc system, I'm going to do a hybrid Victron/Red Arc/Egon system - I'll use the Red Arc BCDC2040D charger and the Victron MPPT controllers so I can run my portable Solar panels in series at around 40-60v (depending on how many panels I end up with) that'll let me run about 60' of 10AWG cable with only about 2% voltage drop. The Red Arc MPPT controllers would require I run in parallel (max 30v, which is too low to run 2 panels in series) - and I'd have to keep the cable runs much shorter or go with a much bigger wire.

Nice rig. I am in the final stages of pulling the trigger on a similar build but will be using a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. I like to get into some rather remote and rough areas and I prefer the solid front axle, lockers front and rear and the sway bar disconnect for some of the trails I tend to seek out.
@seandawnvantures2001 Жыл бұрын
If I hadn't already had my Tacoma I was considering moving to a Gladiator. That said, I'm not much in to "True" rock crawling. So the Tacoma is great for how I plan on using it. Congrats on your future build, I'm sure you will love it.

@seandawnvantures2001 Жыл бұрын
@@jhelie4732 Yes, so far, it's been just fine paired with the Redarc system. We just got back from a weekend trip in the PNW where it poured and we never had a power issue. I do typically take a Jackery 1,000 which I use to power my Starlink. If you want to see more of our unedited stuff like this, check out our IG page at seandawnvantures. I’ve been looking for a fridge that will still let me have the goose gear system with the planks across the middle for someone else to sleep. Do you think that your fridge would still allow the planks to fit flush across? If so what fridge is that. Thank you for the content
