Very nice demonstration, this thing is great and there's not a lot of coverage yet! I'm sure it will pick up soon, it's very unique and powerful.

Is there a setting for eliminating the pops/crackles at sample start/end?

I'd buy a Tempera if there were a UK stockist, but import fees would push this near to £800 to acquire. I'm tempted to try to emulate it in software for myself.

There is a vst called 'MIMU The Jellyfish" Check that out, or granulator 3

It's certainly not a cheap synth, so probably not one to buy if you're not 100% you'd use it regularly. Agree that Granulator 3 is an excellent software comparison (although only for Max 4 Live users).

@@MusicRadarTech I already have NI Straylight, so perhaps I'm just suffering from GAS. I might write a Max4Live app to control 2 instances of Straylight to give 4 layers and see if my computer can cope.

I go to Czech Republic regularly (currently UK based), I think I could help with that.

Thank you for posting this. Question: Have you been able to time sync the Tempera to any other devices via midi? I just got mine last week and it's quite interesting! But I really wish I could sync the little looped intervals to an external drum machine or groovebox. I have tried syncing it to my Polyend Play, to my Drumlogue, and my SH-4d... no luck. The more rhythmic grains will not sync to any other device. I tried switching the settings from midi A to midi B and back. Oh.. and in my attempts, I set the clock menu to "receiving" because I want to slave the Tempera to my other devices. No dice. It's a nice and bizarre device... I just really wish I could sync it to other devices. Thanks for any insight that can be provided!

am i hearing cpu crackles? 0:16 0:18 0:21 0:24 - thats a hardpass
@HeeBeeGeeBee3929 ай бұрын
Maybe those are just lofi-type effects? I did wonder what CPU is powering this device though. It surely has to be something beefy and multithreaded to support 16 voice polyphony.
