Is it worth buying in 2024? I want the 12.9 inch but I’ve read that it’s too heavy. I’ll only buy it for media consumption but I like the idea of a big screen

It really depends, no doubt it’s a lot heavier, and for most it will be too heavy for media consumption/games as the weight is taxing on the wrists after a while. I would honestly suggest the iPad or even the air if you’re just after light use, as you can always connect to an external display/tv via screen mirroring if you need the extra screen real estate 🏡

I purchased the 12.9 and found it very heavy. So much so that I returned it and got the 11 instead. I can tell you that my 11 is the best tech purchase I have ever made.

I was contemplating between the M1 iPad Pro 128gb and the new 2024 M2 iPad Air 128gb. The Air is a tiny bit more expensive but I'm not sure which would be more worth the money if I want to use it for some light video editing?

I would say that based on the above, you would be better off with the M1 Pro if you can get it for a cheaper amount, though if warranty is something that you value, then you can’t go wrong with the new iPad Air 👆

Always go with last gen pro over the air. The air is more similar to a normal ipad while a pro is in a league of its own with stuff like the promotion, xdr display, and a lot of nicer features

Hi, I didn’t experience any serious problems, admittedly when using the iPad for heavy tasks like video editing and gaming on high graphics, the iPad battery fell faster than expected, but nothing to be unexpected!

@@OfficialSimplyJoshua great thankyou, i just heard that some. People have the issue that after updating the os, the battery power drained so fast, even when ipad on the sleep mode

I have a iPad pro 2020 11 inch and I want to upgrade to this M1 in 12.9 and after watching this video I’m so tempted but is it worth it ? I am a college student too and that bigger screen and performance would probably help me

Pre he most recent Apple event I would have said absolutely, but the latest iPad Air 13 inch has really thrown a curve ball into the equation! I’ll be releasing a video on that soon, but either option, you’re in a win-win scenario!

The first i purchased was macbook pro back in 2018 and still working fine. i then bought another refurb m1 pro last year that i am using now. planning to get the refurb 12.9 m1 as well. i compared the price and it's almost the same as the new ipad air m2 13 inches.. but i am after the display on the pro.. vs the 60hz on the new air. Plus i have the apple pencil which will not be compatible with the new air

I would recommend the iPad, or if you want a bit more power then perhaps the iPad Air, as they’re not far off the price of the iPad Pro, unless you’re set on the Liquid Retina display?

@@OfficialSimplyJoshua I have the Air 4th gen now , and my lady has the Air 3, I’m interested in the bigger display and Retina display, I’m going to get the 2020 pro for her and the 2021 pro for myself since they have some decent prices on Amazon, ..or do you still think the regular IPad will do for us, again it’s just for streaming & watching movies/youtube

@@cueyork8179 The harsh truth is that 95% of us only need the base spec iPad with a medium storage option, but the reality is that the Pro’s are just really attractive and offer the better screen, speakers and size, so if you’re after the bigger size and want a pro, then get it, you’ll only kick yourself later down the line if you don’t!
