First, thanks to Scott Devine for turning me on to Dapp Theory several years ago. Then your classes on his site, which I still work on, blew me away. Now to see you with your own channel, that deserves a million followers or more, is awesome. Unfortunately, KZbin is saturated with teachers who love to hear themselves play. Great players, terrible teachers. You are the exception. You break things down in a way that’s easy to understand and most importantly, you enjoy teaching. On top of it all, you’re a beast of a player! I’ve been playing for over forty years and not only do you provide valuable information, you’ve made playing fun again. Thanks Rich, you will definitely receive a donation from me on a regular basis. That’s the very least I can do for this great resource.🙏🏾

Good lesson. I am also a fan of the Beat Buddy pedal. It is a crucial practice tool that can do way more. When you pair it with a looper (Pigtronix Infinity is my go-to) and link up the MIDI, you are pretty much a 3 piece on your own. On a side note, your bass is missing at least one string.

@@richbrownbass Friend, I'm self taught and playing for over forty years yet I always find your uploads valuable, they help me understand what I "intuitively" have learned over the years, but the best part is seeing an awesome player like yourself "cheating" in the ring over the little finger on your pentatonic and scaler runs! @richbrownbass
@richbrownbass Жыл бұрын
Hey Oscar. There's no extra note in the second half. When you count the 16th-note subdivision (1E&A 2E&A...), you play the E and the A of beat 3, and the E and A of beat 4, for a total of 4 notes in the second half. Does this make sense?
