I feel like Uragaan wouldn't feel as bad if there wasn't 3 variations of it rolling around. As for Radobaan, I'd probably bump it up a tier, even as a pseudo-Uragaan, I think it is just a far more fun fight thanks to the zones it inhabits and the bone armor mechanic that just feels satisfying to break.

Also, in Worldborne Uragaan has this disproportionately large health pool compared to the rest of the non elder-tier monsters, which when combined with the low hzv for like half of its body makes for a fight that drags on for way too long.

@@jasonkeith2832 Is that actually true about Uragaan having a huge health pool? I remember doing the MR hunt in Iceborne with both Uragaan and Brachy and it took me about 30 mins to kill the Uragan while the Brachy was much faster taking about 10 mins

@@Giving50prcnt Yes, it's true. He actually has more health than Kushala Daora, Namielle and Velkhana. He has equal health to Blackveil Vaal Hazak and Teostra. Quests with multiple monsters typically have reduced health.

Barroth is unironically my favorite Brute Wyvern, I just find him utterly adorable and a effect teacher that the head isn’t always the best place to aim for. Now he’s not incredibly complex, but he will always be a treasured monster for me as my first memory in the Sandy Plains.

He was my first wall in World and he walled me bad. I literally dropped World for over a year until my cousin recommended I try it again and showed me some videos titled, "Monster Matchups". Even after I went back against after all that time it took me 2 attempts. I was shocked but also relieved to know I'm not the only ass that was handed to them because of Barroth

Speaking as somebody who went out of their way to hunt every Deviant up to their EX level, I think Crystalbeard Uragaan firmly deserves to have an F tier made for him. You really start to feel how poorly designed his fight is when you have to deal with inflated damage and health pools. He's just made of terrible hitzones, he moves all over the place, he shits incredibly lethal explosive traps everywhere while doing it, and there are zero breaks in his patterns unless you topple or KO him yourself. There's many reasons he's just about the only EX that even speedrunners on KZbin have never achieved single-digit solo times on.

The Barroth made me learn to dodge lol. I was a 13 year old who didn't want to read the instructions so I didn't know about upgrading anything! I had level 1 Hunters mail, but my cousin did upgrade my Sword and Sheild to the Assassin's Dagger at some point. It took me a whole month to beat it. I didn't start to learn the game mechanics until the Lagiacrus. Now it's tradition for me to only use Hunter's mail 'till 5* quest in every MH game I've played.

I started to hate Banbaro when I found him invading in every damn map, he overstayed his welcome. He should’ve just stayed in the hoarfrost reach where he belongs. That was a big mistake in Iceborne making Banbaro appear in every map pestering me with his stupid tree charge attacks when i’m fighting another monster. I didn’t care for the monster when I first fought him, some people like him, I was indifferent. Then he started invading my hunts in the ancient forest and elders recess and I started to hate the monster. Invaders should be reserved for monsters like Rajang, Bazelgeuse, and Deviljho. As a side note; why they didn’t make Seething Bazelgeuse invade in Iceborne was a baffling decision and big missed opportunity.

3U being mine and a lot of people's first monster hunter, Barroth left a huge impact as it's the first monster to stun you with it's roar which makes it feels much more powerful when still learning how the game progresses Also Jade is flawless, iceborne dropped the ball with no Jade inclusion

Deviljho and Brachydios both are top tier for me because they fight brutally and relentlessly with constant movement and dangers with dracophage breath after getting a jagras thrown at me or being surrounded by deadly explosives after getting punched in the face.

Glavenus, Duramboros and many others are probably the reason why I think that GU is my favorite monster hunter. Despite World and Rise being more convenient and comfortable to handle, GU just had them all. The Monsters, the classic, fun weapon & armor designs and a cute sheep/alpaca friend accompanied by our trusty poogie. I might be biased towards Generations, cause it's my first MH and GU is just a step up from there.

As someone who doesn't understand the point of variants, subspecies and the like, I absolute ADORE fulgur anjanath. His colors are so striking and the sound design and visuals when he enters supermode are stunning (pun intended). Plus he gave me one of the most memorable moments all of my experience gaming when he hit me so hard he cut power to the TV in the real world! It came back on just in time for me to watch him cart me.

what? radobaan is one of my favorite world monsters, such a fun fight for gunlance. The way he rolls forward then looks back, and rolls at you again caught me off guard, and the whole part breaking to reveal soft bits was really fun as a gunlance main, since it gives good reasons for both shelling and thrusts together, one being better for breaking and the other being better for damage, especially early on when sharpness matters more. I think he deserves at the very least b tier, I already enjoy urugaan so I could be an outlier, but man radobaan is even more fun than urugaan imo

For me, Uragaan has the questionable distinction of being the only monster that got worse over the generations. He was quite fun in Tri/Portable 3rd, he got annoying in GU because they made him tankier and because Crystalbeard is terrible and World made him cool again but gave him THE worst g-rank iteration. You know, where he constantly and semi-randomly shits out bombs which deal insane damage and obscure your vision? All while rolling around with unreasonable speeds and difficult to deal with patterns. And while I like Brachy I never really figured out how to fight him in melee without getting hit constantly, no idea why.

Brachy made me and my brother have an argument because back when we both played Tri Ultimate, I absolutely loved Agnaktor and he loved Brachydios. The Ecology cutscene really divided us but I eventually sided with him and called Brachydios badass. still mad Agnaktor didn't come back in Rise though lol

From my personal experience Gasurabazura (Frontier) > a majority of Brute Wyverns lol I find his ability to switch from being able to poison to just flat out wanting to pummel Hunters with brute strength upon raging fun. Also he has a move where he bulldozes Hunters into a giant sandball.

I dunno man, Duramboros' & Banbaro's designs & fight scream BRUTE to me. They're basically monster equivalent of a hammer. Which is a very brutish weapon. Love the gear as well. Definitely A Tiers for me. You could say the same for the 'gaans & 'baans so I'd bump them up to B Tier. Except the variant/deviant 'cause I find them very annoying fights.

IMO: This tierlist is almost what I would had put everyone, except I would had put the other two glavenus in S tier, while I do prefer Glavenus over Brachy, I still love Brachy overall, even if some PEOPLE make me slightly annoyed everytime I hear his name and about how awesome and cool he is(his fanbase kinda sucks). Anyways, I love the Glavenus fights so much(I still enjoyed ib glavenus fight, but it is still a complete downgrade to his MHGU version)

I think Brachy is super annoying just because of the puddles it leaves behind. Lots of monster hunter players like it because it forces you to be aware of space but the puddles just make me so annoyed whenever they go off.

Brachydios in S lmao. Bad take. He's a large powerful wyvern with large jaws and huge pounders to kill things. Why does he need slime or his head horn? Why is his back so heavily armored when his explosions come from the front? If the slime is to break open rocks to eat like Uragaan, then why are his jaws so developed? Brachydios is a poorly made monster that only exists to "cool" in a franchise that is more meaningful than that.

Barroth for me is utter garbage. I hate that monster to my core and never fight him in any mh game if i dont have to. Ive never farmed him and never will. His fight is so sucky and I loathe his design. Angrier pickle on the other hand...now thats a god damn amazing fight, along with raging brachy and glavenus (including hellfire). honestly I agree to an extent. He's not as bad as like, jyuratodus, but after almudron showed me what a real mud monster could be it just hasn't been the same.
