What I really appreciate about the TTArtisan 56mm f1.8 is its unbeatable value. Sure, there are more expensive options out there, but this lens delivers sharpness and build quality that rival some much pricier choices. The metal texture adds a touch of elegance, and it’s such a joy to shoot with. I’ve tried it for both portraits and everyday scenes, and it performs flawlessly. Honestly, I’d recommend it to both beginners and experienced photographers alike!

Such a great buy! The autofocus is smooth, and the overall build feels really sturdy with the metal body. I’m loving it.

I bought this lens just as backup of my Sony lens 16-55 2.8. I was thinking to buy something not expensive and I think for the price, for the quality this lens by now seems amazing! Probably not the best for video but for still images is impressive.

I bought this TTArtisan lens some time ago and it's ideal for portraits. The sharpness makes a significant difference in my shots.

When it comes to value for money, this 56mm lens is definitely a top-notch choice. The metal construction gives it an edge over other lenses in the same price range. It feels more solid and reliable in your hands. The F1.8 aperture provides great flexibility in creating different effects. You can get a shallow depth of field for portraits or a wider one for group shots. The autofocus is fast and efficient, ensuring that you don't miss any moment. The lens also has good performance in different environments. Whether it's bright outdoors or a bit darker indoors, it can adapt well. And the design of the lens makes it look great with Sony A6000, adding a touch of professionalism.

My mate has ordered this one for his Sony A6000. I own the Sigma 56 and the Sony A6400. Very curious about the performance of this lens compared to the Sigma. We will swap on lenses on a photowalk. I own three TTArtisan's but they are all manual. I like them, TTArtisan is getting better and better. And I hope they will be competing and getting better in the future so that they can give us more options on the market.

It's great for the price, but the Sigma is definitely ahead in terms of AF performance. That will be a fun and interesting photo walk!

@@PeteCocoPhoto I agree... I don't use sigma lens but Sony ... in any case the focus breathing is quite visible and this lens probably is not the best for video. Maybe in the future will come a firmware update (nothing available for Sony right now)

Thanks for the review. I recently purchased this lens and found the same issue with the focus getting "stuck" it's irritating other than that I'm happy with the lens for the price

Yep, I think it's solid for the price.

Thanks for the review, would you pick this lens before the sigma 56mm f1.4?
@PeteCocoPhoto7 ай бұрын
In terms of image quality I think it's a solid competitor but the AF is much better in the Sigma

Hey Pete. Do you think this is worth buying if you already own the original Fuji 56 1.2R? It sure looks smaller and lighter and would maybe make a good backup lens with a different rendering.
@wilbertwilbert87728 ай бұрын
nah , just use the fujifilm 56 , this is the budget lens so the tone and everything is different as a backup i prefer to buy sigma 56 it's sharp too

I wouldn't do that. id be rocking the Fuji 56!

Can a ND filter be used with the hood without noticeable vignetting ?

Didn't try one but if you can add a slim uv without issue I don't see why not

Yes, I know but on the TTArtisan site they say the lens itself is optimized for eye tracking, or something similar. It's very vague and they don't explain exactly how it does this LOL
