I’ve used it on my oven before, I used the powder and kind of made it into a paste. I let it sit on there and dry.. I then buffed off the muck dry, then went in with water and a bit more scrubbing. Will work very well on the wire racks as well

I just wipe out my microwave every night it takes literally 20 seconds and if a mess happens clean it immediately. I don't have to scrub anything!

I have stained cabinets. Won't steam melt the finish? Won't a water-based cleaner hurt the finish if not wiped off immediately?

Steam is not recommended on wood - finished, unfinished, stained, or painted - according to wood manufacturers, and cabinet makers. You can use a damp-dry microfiber cloth with 5 drops of dish detergent, per 1 cup of water. (This allows the microfiber cloth to be partially filled with surfactants, and water, but allows enough free space for gross organic matter, pathogens, and other matter to “fill” the fibers of the microfiber cloth. Don’t over saturated.) I recommend following by a damp-very-dry rinse with plain tap water. Step 3 is to use a wax or wood based polish. NEVER use a Magic Eraser, which is a formaldehyde, and melamine plasticized abrasive and flexible sponge on this surface.

We have a White Rangehood. It has been a bugger to clean. Then I took car wax , and applied it. Now all I need to clean it is a paper towel. It wipes right off! Or you could use a cloth.

I have a gas oven. I really haven't found a satisfactory way to clean it without having it become a real production. And, i too have an injured right shoulder whic is my dominate shoulder! Any suggestions for cleaning appreciated.
