@@BlindstuffMTB If on these trips you stop for line/section practice (not something one does as often as one should), you could maybe compile a whole video of just like skill building/line selection/line practice. It's always cool to see how each different rider approaches different sections of the trail and how that copes to the particular thing everyone is best at

It’s been a while! Good to see a new video. Wow, what an awesome MTB trip! Looking forward to watching the rest. I live in Asheville, NC. Have been to Crested Butte to ride a few times, and Gunnison as well. Teocalli and Doctor Park were my faves at CB. Hartman Rocks in Gunnison was awesome.

Its been too long. Have had a hard time finding time to edit. Man asheville is so awesome, i always struggle when I think where I would rather live. Pisgah is so unique and amazing, but so is the high alpine in CO. So much good riding all over the place. Love all places you mentioned, haven't been to hartman rocks though

Hey, just hear you complaining about hand pain. I got exactly the same grips from odi and they were pretty nice... But actually to thick for my hands. So I tried new slimmer grips (for example from ergon) and this really was a game changer. Now I can tackle all the gnarly stuff for a longer time without the fatique in my hands. 🙌🏻
@BlindstuffMTB3 жыл бұрын
Hey Sven, thanks for the suggestion. Really interesting. I used to run slim ergons and changed to these and it made a million times better. I thought the others were too skinny. Maybe I should give them a try again. I have a pair in a drawer.

Awesome video🤘🏾I took a month of from work & I did the same road trip in mid September as well but I left outta Oregon making my way to Utah to ride the whole enchilada then on over to Minturn CO, Crested Butte, Breckenridge, Leadville, Salida then into N M to ride Angle Fire. Ended up in Sedona Arizona then Downieville CA. Good times where had & if I have to do it again this year I will.

If you're looking for a way to get your hands strong enough to handle long descents, consider taking up rock climbing in a gym whenever you're not riding. I'm also from a mostly flatish area and I find if I've been climbing a lot I have more hand strength than I know what to do with. Love your videos btw, I've been using your pisgah enduro videos to try and scout out what the event is like.
@BlindstuffMTB3 жыл бұрын
All you need to know about the Pisgah enduro is that its awesome. Still my favorite enduro, brutal two days, much more demanding than other races I've done. I had heard about climbing before, should definitely give it a try. I just noticed a have a climbing gym kinda close. Thanks for the suggestion and kind words.

I have a trip planned to Vail, CO for summer 2021 and my friend recently told me that mountain biking in Vail would be boring and that I should be going to Breckenridge, Winter Park, or Keystone instead. Should I be worried? I've also read a bit online about Vail shutting down all the good trails and not building new ones?
@BlindstuffMTB3 жыл бұрын
It's really going to depend on what type of riding you're looking for. The Vail DH park is not a jumpers paradise like Winter Park or Keystone. Its a park where you feel like you're riding trails out in the wild but without pedaling (in general, there are some highly manicured ones). Everything that you mentioned is kinda close. My recommendation is that you pick a base camp somewhere and then hit all of these. Depending on how many days you have you can do a few days in each. If all you want to do is gnarly park, then maybe Keystone and Winter Park are for you. If you want lots of variety hit them all. I'll have a few more videos of this series up soon.
@GhillieMarksman3 жыл бұрын
@@BlindstuffMTB Thank you so much for your response. I'm not into hitting big jumps, I just wanna go fast downhill on single track. Sounds like Vail will work for me. I'll be there for 6 days, so if I get bored at Vail I might check out Breckonridge or Keystone since they're less than an hour away.
@BlindstuffMTB3 жыл бұрын
