I have all three of the Kitchen Aid cordless appliances. It works well and stayed charged for many hours. I didn’t have to charge it the mixer 3 months, but I hadn’t used it as much as a weekly baker would. That being said it is much lighter than the Kitchen Aid electric mixer. A great tool for the camper. Paying more for the Kitchen Aid is worth the expense. I’ve been a Kitchen Aid person forever. I’ve had the stand mixer for over 30 years and still works well

Just an FYI - the updated model kitchenaid cordless hand mixer comes with a removable battery and a USB charging cable.

OMG! I just saw that model. You can use the battery across several appliances...but it looks like you have to buy the battery separately.

Tell you what Amy, I grew up during the 60s and 70s. Back then there was no such thing as turbo beaters. All the beaters of all the mixers had the center post in them. My Mom had a Sunbeam Burst of power Mixmaster hand mixer. When the beaters would clog up, you just hit the burst of power button, and you were good to go. Sunbeam introduced the burst of power feature. Of course that was when Sunbeam was Sunbeam. Now a days Sunbeam is owned by someone else, and they aren't that hot. A good example is when you tested the Sunbeam Heritage stand nixer, and the mixer quit not to long after you turned it on. A Mixmaster from back when I was growing up would never have done that

I love my KitchenAid cordless hand mixer. More than the cordless feature, I wanted the can-like shape which doesn’t teeter and fall over on the counter making a mess. I have a pistachio Artisan stand mixer for bigger tasks.

I make amazing bread with my hand mixer. It's a convertible, so I don't even need to hold it. But I live in Europe, so that might be a difference. I like that the ambiano comes with a USB cord, and I have plenty of cords and chargers at hand, that can charge fast, so I don't need another adapter that I only can use with that given appliance.

Cuisinart also had a Cordless Hand Mixer. I honestly like corded Hand Mixers much better. If I were to receive a Cordless Hand Mixer as a gift, I would still accept & use it especially if I was traveling but I like corded Hand Mixers better.

The attachments that come with the KitchenAid are whisk beaters and regular coated scraping beaters, according to KitchenAid.

Thank you. Very informative. I was wondering what the differences are on the low end and higher end of the hand mixers. I still have my Sunbeam from 30 years ago. LOL but I never gave it much thought that my mixer may be going faster or slower than a Kitchenaid. My mixer isn’t cordless obviously but it lasted this long. I was on the fence about whether or not I want a cordless and every time I use my mixer I’m fighting with the cord. Thanks Amy.

I would spend the money on the KitchenAid due to having more speeds but can't justify buying a new one since my corded KitchenAid is in great condition. I was curious about how the cordless mixers functions. Thanks for demonstrating them.

Funny enough I bought the Aldi cordless mixer before Christmas since I have wanted one but they are relatively expensive since I have a perfectly good kitchen aid stand mixer and I have just way too much stuff as is but as you said. I have been waiting to see a video from you featuring the Aldi mixer, and I figured you would find it similar to the Mainstays! I modified my Aldi Ambiano Cordless mixer by swapping out the motor for one out of a 15.6V dustbuster vacuum cleaner, and also modding it to accept KitchenAid (knockoff replacement brand) beaters. The biggest failure on Aldi's part was the bad choice of motor. The stock motor in this mixer wants to go fast, yet the mixer really needs a slower motor with more torque. The motor swap delivered what this mixer really needed as the 15.6V dustbuster vacuum cleaner motor runs slower in the 7.4V mixer. The dustbuster motor also has an integrated fan which the stock motor did not. With the motor swap and KitchenAid beaters, the Aldi mixer doesn't sling flour like it did originally, and has lots of low-end torque. I bought a second Aldi cordless mixer and posted a comparison between the stock and modded mixers and have it up on my channel. To give the KitchenAid cordless mixer credit, it's far superior, but of course that comes at a premium. The Aldi Mixer could have been SO much better had the designers selected the proper motor (which would not have really increased the price by much).

I am currently swapping the motor in my 2023 model Ambiano cordless mixer and I do want to report that the 2023 model, like what's shown in this video, *does* in fact have a cooling fan in the motor. The 2022 model did not have a fan. There are also some other small improvements in the design for the 2023 model. Maybe this year, they'll finally get it right and select a motor that's slower, with more torque, and also include some ventilation in the shell of the mixer. The KitchenAid will still be the winner if you are willing to spend the extra money.

I mostly use my stand mixer for baking, but I also have a hand mixer for quick jobs like making pancake batter or whipping small amounts of heavy cream etc. The only thing that I don't like about this mixer is the cord, which ALWAYS gets in the way. I've been thinking about buying a cordless hand mixer for a while now, but they are VERY expansive in Europe. The KitchenAid one costs anywhere between $200-$250 where I live 😬

It was really hard to control stuff flying out of the bowl. It was a little crazy on start up too! The KitchenAid is definitely smoother and the beaters are a lot better. Thanks for watching, Phyllis!

It kind of seemed like the Aldi mixer started to struggle when you added the flour. The motor sounded different. Or the battery was starting to decrease. The KA seems smoother and the speeds do seem way more refined and controlled. And the flour didn't puff with the KA! Speed one on thr Aldi is like speed 5 on the KA.

Im in the market for a hand mixer. This made me decide on the KitchenAid. I have the beast bowl lift mixer that I literally can't lift myself. Because I'm old and whatnot. I bought this one because it was my first and I didn't do enough research. I hate it. I need a hand mixer.

I will not buy anthing cordless again if I can help it. Most of our not so cheap battery operated stuff has dead batteries . We don't use some of it often enough which kills the batteries. I'll galdy deal with a cord and have it working.

I can understand because at least with a cord, you'll never have to worry about your device running out of juice at the most inconvenient times!
