Fredbear's gets bought by their rivals, Fazbenders, which made Henry and William (now Dave so as to copy Henry's deceased son's name, which Henry deeply hated, as he never loved Will) take jobs at Fazbenders, killing kids and bringing down their reputation. Henry is killed by Blackjack in 83 after he had enough of Henry killing children, and traps his soul on the Flipside's void sorry for the rant btw

Dayshift at Freddy's is an incredible fangame that is a mixture of fnaf, drama, horror and shitpost. The gameplay, the mysteries that are still unsolved in the game, the fan base and most importantly the story of the game are truly amazing. I have been a maniac fan of this game since 2019 and I think there are still things I need to learn about the game. Absolutely a masterpiece. I think everyone should learn this fangame.

Hey there! The DSAF trilogy is also my favorite set of fnaf fangames, and I have a whole library’s worth of knowledge about it in my noggin. I just wanna add to some of the points / clear up some stuff that had confusion around it: -Adding a little bit onto “Dave’s name is William”, the name Dave (in universe) comes from Henry’s deceased son, David. When Dave learned about David, he went wild with the idea of replacing him and becoming Henry’s surrogate son. -The Generation 4 Phone Guy is the suit-wearing employee you can hire to work for you in DSAF 3. No matter what, your employee ends up getting springlocked, and if you choose to send them to the factory, they become the very first Gen 4 Phoney. It’s the one with the green phone head, a GPO 746. -The Joy of Creation is something used to refer to the Phone Guys, but I’d say it’s much more prominently connected to Henry. It’s what his master's thesis / book is titled, it’s what he calls his work in most of his tapes, and it’s what he says at the end of DSAF 3s evil route. -This is a bit of speculation, but in regards to An Ending possibly being canon: there’s genuinely no way it can be. As it was mentioned in the video, Jack lives in Peter's house as it’s a direct continuation from DSAF 2’s perfect ending. There’s also the cake at the start of DSAF 3, which is actually a cake from Peter’s funeral. I doubt Jack after An Ending would go to something like that, if Peter even got the luxury of a funeral after the ending. Also, it’s implied that Jack ends up killing Dave after An Ending, as he has an X over him during the end card. Again, if DSAF 3 picked up from here, it wouldn’t make any sense. The most reasonable explanation is The Flipside being a place outside of all timelines, as Dave even says to Jack, “You’ve left your timeline” when they first meet up. Even though that brings up a whole other can of worms of continuity issues, it’s the best we got. -You can’t hire any of the Gen 0 Phoneys, their backstories are explained by Harry. -Saying Jack dies at the end of DSAF 3’s evil route because he’s possessed isn’t entirely right. Jack doesn’t die, rather he lets Henry’s influence seep into him to the point where Henry practically controls his every action via manipulation. Henry is Jack's enabler. It’s a one-sided partnership. It’s not possession in the typical sense, rather, as Doggo put it in a tumblr post: “you can hear my voice and I’ll seep venom into your broken head until it’s LIKE I can control your body completely”. -(Fuck this, I’d rather quit game development than type this dialogue out) comes from when you spray Mangle with Airosol in DSAF 2. The TTS reads “Spray me harder daddy” (or something along those lines) while spraying her. -“There’s nothing else really to it” in regards to Jack's name, there’s actually quite a bit to it! The name Jack comes from the Irish myth of Stingy Jack, a drunkard who tricked Satan into making a deal with him ensuring he’d never go to hell. When he died, God did not allow him into heaven due to his sinful life, and because of his deal, he could not go to hell. He roams a sort of purgatory for the rest of eternity. This lines up with Jack really well, and it also happens to be the origin story of the Jack-o-lantern, which is also a reason for his name! Jack is also a very popular Irish name, and with Jack being of Irish descent, it lines up. Fitzgerald, his middle name, is a reference to F. Scott Fitzgerald, the author of The Great Gatsby. This is the book where the phrase “Old Sport” comes from. Kennedy is a reference to John F. Kennedy. -Henry’s time in the war was described in a tumblr post about his backstory. He joined the war after the death of his father to get away from his home. The war is what gave Henry his worldview. -Peter wasn’t the one getting up in arms with Henry, that was Steven. Peter’s accident was just the fault of the springlocks, and he dragged himself all the way to the safe room door before giving out. Apologies if this seems a bit nitpicky, I’m just very passionate about these games. Loved the video also! :D If I got anything wrong, then lemme know

Trashpile seems to really… enjoy… being tinkered with, and does not hesitate to, ah… communicate… that they’re enjoying it. There’s one particular instance where it says something and the dialogue box says this. I believe it’s when Jack is repairing them using the manual.

It would actually make sense for the phone Guys to know about the Flipside in DSaF 3. To become a Phone Guy, an employee has to die in some incident at Freddy's. And usually only a soul can enter the Flipside (Jack being the exception). Take for example Harry. Died in a springlock failure. His soul ends up in the Flipside. He's taken to the factory and made into a Phone Guy, and all of a sudden his soul is back in his reanimated body.

You have the option to either burry him or send him off to the factory (aftons robotics), in the true end, you burry him, and in the evil end, you send him off. I’ve seen others add their own points so I thought I would too! - There’s actually a “gen 0” of phone guys, consisting of Scott cawthon, the first phone guy, and the first 5 managers. This group of phoneys retained memories from their past lives and were used as tests to come up with the perfect phone guy, troubleshooting with each new phoney - Harry is the first gen 1 phone guy. He was the culmination of all the work done to the previous phone guys, hence his lack of memory. There’s actually a really sad story where his family comes looking for him and his mother recognizes him, but he doesn’t recognize her. Abel has her kicked out - Henry used to be married and had a biological son. It’s implied that Henry murders his son, although it’s not confirmed. William takes on the name “Dave” to make himself seem more like Henry’s real son, whose name was David - Roger is getting his own route in dialtown! All the Roger simps will finally be able to get their hands on him - Doggo has stated in a tumblr post that he’s not against the idea of remastering the dsaf trilogy, especially the first two. If this ever happens, it will take a while because he’s fully dedicated to dialtown at the moment - Dsaf sister location was a fangame that was supposed to include phone girls as managers - The doggo location phone guy(yellow phone) is named Daniel and is gen 2, and the Arizona phone guy(gray phone from Grand Canyon minigame) is named John and is gen 1(this is from dog man’s tumblr) - Dave’s birthday is Halloween, 1945. Coincidentally, Henry dies on Halloween of 1983 - Steven is canonically gay, and had a boyfriend before he got springlocked - Dave has a folder of Jack in maid costumes, and the same is true in reverse

Just wanted to point out (since nobody else has done it, I think) that the entry about DSaF 4 being planned at some point probably refers to some old DSaF development notes revealed by DirectDoggo. In one of them, there's a rough plan with the DSaF titles and "DSaF 4" is written on it. I have no idea where Doggo revealed those concepts but I found them on the DSaF wiki (on the Dayshift at Freddy's: Remastered page). I don't know if it was ever outright confirmed, but in DSAF 3 you can hire Walt as a mascot performer. Interestingly, Walt is a Freddy's veteran, having worked at the Foxy Themed strip club before being fired for having sexual relations with a customer. Sound familiar? Maybe that's why Jack is keen to hire him, for old times sakes and all. Also, I thought I'd add this about the Fazburger bit. After the closure of the three restaurants, company spokesman Scott "Hula Hoop" Cawthon is asked to give a statement. While doing so he briefly stops hula hooping, and "his innards became ennards". The wider Fazbender Entertainment management found this to be funny and never did anything about it, putting the final nail in the coffin of the Fazburger idea

Day Shift has better lore because we actually get the fuckin lore, don't rely heavily on fanon and theory, and the characters get decent representation, rather than Willy fucking Afton coming back for the seventh time and getting all the attention.
