Ali! You’re doing so great! Second and third passes get so much easier as you flex your decluttering muscles! I’ve watched all your videos. Your confidence is growing by leaps and bounds! One suggestion …I keep an extra set of sheets per bed. I “organize “ by placing folded fitted sheet, folded top sheet, and 1 folded pillowcase inside the 2nd pillow case. Makes a package and easy to carry plus don’t have to find the pieces that go together. Looks nice too for us “crickets”😂
@reallifewithali10 ай бұрын
Aw, thanks! I love the idea of packaging the sheet sets. I have considered that. One reason I don’t is because most of my kids hate top sheets and sometimes we just need to change out the pillowcase. 😊

I did a whole decluttering of stuff I've been slugging around since i was a teenager (in my 30s now) and you really do have to talk it out in your brain. "I'm not going to use this" or "I'm past that time in my life". I had a bunch of art supplies and I knew I was beyond that point, but I was still hanging onto everything. I finally let it go, though and it feels good. Some stuff I donated so someone else can use it for their art time in their life.

Hi Ali, as you were talking about the gift wrapping paper, the thought came to mind. If you have an attic or a basement, maybe you can make it sort of a mini craft room just for gift wrapping. You have more room to work with, everything will be organized ready to use at a moments notice and you would not have to deal with rearranging all the time the gift wrapping box. Same holds true with the suitcases. In the attic or basement that way out of sight out of mind. If you have a free closet, you can make it a gift wrapping work station with an over the door lift up table to put your gifts while you wrap them up.
@reallifewithali8 ай бұрын
Great idea, but I don’t have an attic and the wrapping paper is already in the basement. There is no extra space.

I know this is an old video. I really enjoyed watching it. I think I replayed it several times today while I was busy doing things. I started with FlyLady in 2013. She gave me a structure or framework for getting things done. Overtime I’ve tweaked her system. One routine I added was my Coffee Time Routine. It happens just after my quick morning routine. I sit with my coffee and do a few tasks: ✔️ 1. Take my Meds ✔️ 2. Update my Self-Care Journal (weight, blood glucose, sleep time, meds, etc. A few things I’m tracking.) ✔️ 3. Clear voice mail & call histories & FT ✔️ 4. Clear photos: iPad 138, 1v; iPhone 122, 7v. (I clear unwanted photos & show my current total.) ✔️ 5. Clear email. ✔️ours ✔️mine ✔️Mom ✔️Dad. (Reset to zero. Or, if necessary - leave a few to review later.) ✔️ 6. Check in w/sibs group text. ✔️ 7. Check my calendar & bullet journal.

I, and my oldest brother, were born in Anchorage, at Elmendorf AFB🎣 🍣 I, too, keep a weekly menu. Sometimes I go by it, sometimes not. I do like having a guide bc sometimes I just can’t think of something to fix after a busy day…or…it serves as a reminder if I need to start something early/put in the crockpot. ❤ So many great ideas 💡 and easy ways to incorporate now and continue to keep up. Buy new clothes that do fit! You don’t need to change your body to fit the clothes you currently have. ❤️

KEEP YOUR NEGATIVES! At least for photos you LOVE! A must if you want to enlarge memoriable moments 😎. Making a copy from a copy loses photo quality.

Thanks. I don’t have very many negatives left.

Please do not throw away your negatives, or teach others that that's ok. Prints get damaged in so many ways, and negatives are a great back up. Pictures are such a valuable key to our past. And likely will be even more valuable to your children and grandchildren. They do not take up any space. Please, don't throw pictures or negatives away.

Thank you for your input. I don’t throw away prints. I actually only have a few negatives anyway, but I hope it didn’t come across that I’m teaching people to throw theirs away. I’m just showing what I am doing and why. ❤️
