I decided to go to nova rock festival in Austria instead of DL this year for the first time in 15 years and I don’t regret my decision. Best festival I have ever been too. Half the price, better lineup, better facilities, no crazy walk, far better organised. I highly recommend if you fancy a change next year. It makes me wonder where Download spend all the money!

Big up guys! This is yeara download ia the first festival I have been to on the same site and dates as you lot and ut's really cool to see how different you're experience was to mine (all positive!). It's a banging festival filled with lovely people. I can't agree more that the fresh lineup this year was fucking brilliant, it's the main reason our crew finally commited to DL. Sorry Mary had a rough one, can't lie it was funny to watch but must have been savage for her! I'm so glad I didn't get a Yorky after her banging on about them in previous years! I was very tempted. Shout out to my mate Mitch who nearly drowned in his tent in the rain but kept rocking until the end!

Top tip, if you go to burning man in an RV, it will inevitably get trashed by the dust and they will FUCK you for a cleaning fee when you return it. I am talking $$$$. Find someone to clean it before you return it to the rental place. It saved my ass. You should also have a space outside of the RV for shoes and super dusty clothes. That stuff gets in every crevice. Yes, even that one.
