The ULTIMATE eBike for camping with kids?

This is the bike we have chosen to replace our others for hauling the family around when away with our campervan. It’s called the Fiido T1 Pro Electric Utility Bike. And, it’s awesome! Watch our video to see us build it, try it and use it properly. What do we think? Where will we take them? Value for money, this is probably the best eBike for our needs. What do you think?

That's so cool, you got a second one - and it works to have the two daughters on one bike!! I have this bike (t1 lite), over a year now, I love it! I love my bike ... I got the rear flat rack (and large thermal case for groceries) from L'ectric bikes and their panniers ... they lined up near perfect over the bamboo/wood piece. It's a joy to ride. I use that front basket all the time! Did I mention how much I love my bike?! 😄

First off you two are great parents. Great job filling the kids childhoods with so many camping trips. Wow. Just a TIP, on the E bikes.. there heavy, run a strap, up and under that gos up over the vans back doors, screw it metal eye mounts inside the van back door frame. With a ratchet strap, u lift the bikes up. Against the back of the van.. ( also,. Go look at Americans Utah, vans explorer trade shows.... They have, E bike, racks, that stack two hight. U can carry 3, E bikes. Let you daughter who can drive one. Free, they have foldable, carts, that fold flat... U unsnap them, there a gooseneck, to bolt under a seat, goose neck... And now you can tow... Chairs, coolers, grills. Gas, black tanks, ECT and supplies for food. ... Love the house Reno,.... It will be great.... Hint.... Buy wine for the contractors, on Friday....have a cook out for them, every two weeks.... And have chairs, where they can eat......if you roll out a red carpet...... They will show you there real.....skills as master craftsman..... , thank them.... But give a bottle of wine , or cigar....

The Fiido e-bike looks the business, ideal for your needs. The girls are so amenable with all you do. Jo made us laugh when she said ‘ you need that bendy thing’ Jordan replied ‘the spanner you mean’😂😊

Great option for you though I would say your carrier is at the limit. The Altera Strada DL3 the rack weight 14.4kg ,max weight for each bike 23.5kg ,max load capacity is 45kg though your correct it can be 63kg with 4th bike adaptor , love your mod to accommodate the wider tyres. There is a bike rack which can carry 80kg specifically for the Ford custom it’s called Van bike 3 maybe good option as gives bit more flexibility. LNB towbars in the UK sell it.

As a FIIDO L3 owner that has the same battery but 23AH I too wish FIIDO would do a cover for battery socket for when on camp sites where I leave it outside without the battery on .

Great video on the bikes! I am currently looking for something along these lines, just wonder how the fit is?? As i am 6ft 5, which i see on their site is listed, but just wonder how bend my legs would be 😮. Also the phone holder you have mounted is that the one listed as a option??or a previous purchase. Can you possibly give the name of the seats and foot pegs you bought too please .

The foot pegs were bought off Amazon and so were the seats. I ‘engineered’ them a bit to fit the bikes and added a hand hold for the double rear seat. Was definitely worth it…we get lots of use out of them now!

I would take the e bikes battery’s out when travelling to the campground. 1 it reduces the weight on the ball hitch. 2 makes the bikes less appealing to steal. 3 you probably can charge the e-bikes battery’s when travelling from the inside of the van. Would you not be better buying a trailer to carry the bikes and the junk that usually accompanies children. I have ever seen a one wheel swivel trailer fitted? This making reversing a breeze, you just reverse the van in the normal way. Here is a Utube link to a home made one. I don’t think there is a speed restriction because it fixed to the RV. Hi Gordon, thanks for taking the time to write to us, and I like your tips regarding the batteries. As regards a trailer, I have towed all sorts for years and it’s refreshing not to have to. Especially with camping spots in Europe being small and a 50mph speed limit in Italy. Also, thanks for the YT link. Interesting but not allowed in Italy due to strict homologation rules. Thanks again😃👌
