This is a lazy topic I know, but FILM PHOTOGRAPHY TIER LIST, i rank my favourite film stocks, from 35mm, medium format, 110 and even instant film like polaroid's and have some certain opinions on stocks, some being positive, and well, lets just say i don't like ilford xp2 super.

Fuji C200 SSS tier, give black and white polaroid another chance, sharper, finer grain, nicer resolve, it always comes out really nice black and white in my experience, while colour polaroid always has a dominant colour cast.

yeah tbf the regular polaroid definitely does have a certain colour / vibe which can be meh, don’t know about black and white polaroid tho, feels a waste to spend so much on it haha

you gotta shoot colorplus!! i didnt try it for years thinking it was similar to gold but it's SO much better; like portra NC but with a lot more grain; xp2 is literally my favorite b&w you have to overexpose it a LOT but my best b&w shots were done on xp2 lol 100% agree on ilford delta, its literally cheaper tmax you need to try lomography's "basic" color options (lomo 100, lomo 400, lomo 800) they're all really good for pretty cheap; especially in medium format compared to competition

thanks for the kind comment! i’ll definitely look around for colour plus, never seem to find it in stock anywhere, i’ve been meaning to try some of lomogrpahy stocks cause they are quite well priced but never got round to it. have had a lot of advice on needing to shoot xp2 super differently so i’m gonna try it out in the near future and hopefully stop hating the film stock

@@matt_tube It's my favorite b&w in 35 mm with portra 160 for color 400 if overcast. And tied with tmax 400 in 645. In 67, fp4 with gorgeous contrast, skin tones, sharpness and minimal grain but not looking digital. Portra 160 there.. In low light, 3200 grain is tamed and is still dreamy. The rest in comparison for my eye, are what did you call them... DOG SHIT. You have me laughing again.

ahah no it was my alevel graphic design final piece, the clock is the doomsday clock, a visual metaphor for the end of the world, just thought it fit the design haha

Lomo metropolis is E tier for me. Worst roll of film I have shot. It looked underexposed with blown out highlights on a cloudy day and the colors looked sickly. I am sure someone shots it and makes it look good but that someone ain’t me.

Kodak gold 135 and 800 needs to be S without a doubt (gold 120 can get in the bin)

You have VERY BAD reasearch. From what I can see you have had the film badly developed to start with. You can develope XP2 in black and white chemistry with some amazing results. Ilford XP2 Super (developer ID-11 stock solution) (shoot at 200ISO) (develope for 10.5 mins)
