I had a Fuji Elemental about a year ago. I had used and washed it as per instructions maybe 10-12 times and then my training partner nearly ripped the thing in half during a roll. I'll be sticking to medium or heavy gis from now on!

Any plans to do an update to this video reviewing some of their newer gis? It'd be useful also to explain if there's value in the ripstop and other features of gis which can impact the price of the gis. Thanks.

Do you know how much the sekai shrinks ? I am looking to get one and I wanna just throw it in the dryer because I dont got time to wait for it to dry. How much shrinkage should I be expecting.

An updated version should be made of this since new stuff has come out... with that being said, what are the differences with A to W sizing. It was said smiliar - but what makes them different? Bigger bum or chest area? There is no real explanation to he found.

Do they come in plus sizes? Im 6ft tall and 338 pounds and my waistline is over 50. Been wanting to go back to BJJ after 8 years off but too big so im looking for a gi

A6 would probably fit. I started BJJ early last year and I was almost 350 at 6'4". I used an A6 Fuji all-around for over a year. The pants might not fit you, though. I actually just donated the gi jacket from it, because it is pretty big now and didn't shrink like other A6's I have. I'm down to about 285. When I got the thing it fit over my torso just fine, just the pants were a little tight in the waist and especially the thighs. I ordered a pair of A6 pants from another manufacturer and used them. I went from wearing size 50 pants to currently 42. My thighs are a lot bigger around than most so you might not have the issues I did with the gi pants. I put some really hard use into the gi top; I had a backup I bought and it didn't last nearly as well. The Fuji gi top was faded and fraying a little bit but still would have been good for a while, except it's a cotton / poly blend and didn't shrink like some other A6 gis I have. I just got two other gis from Fuji. They're A5, "Submit Everyone" which on their site list as suparaito. The gi tops fit pretty well, except the armpits seem a little tight. The gi bottoms are a little tighter than I like but they're probably going to be OK.

Hi - What are your thoughts on the Fuji Summerweight Gi (unless the Summerweight and Lightweight are the same Gi?)? Thank you!

Thanks for the great content guys. Its helped alot with getting my kids up and running in BJJ. That said, I'm thinking about getting on the mats myself, but I'm 196 cm tall and weigh about 165 kilos. Obviously I'm overweight, and carry some weight through the middle, but my height helps keep me fairly proportional. I'm looking at the Elemental, and was going to go with the A6, but its sold out. Do you think the A5 would work for this weight? Are there other brands/sizes I should consider? I'm hoping to make BJJ part of a weight loss journey, and would like to end up around 110 kilos (after a lot of hard work). Thanks in advance.

Hi Kevin, I think it's a great idea to make BJJ part of your weight loss journey! Coincidentally we have a guy with a similar size as you at our gym and he wear an A6. The combination of your height and weight makes A6 the best choice. You could take a look at the Fuji All Around which is a great gi and available in A6: bjjfightgear.com/collections/fuji-sports/products/fuji-all-around-bjj-gi?variant=11932765421683 Good luck on your journey!

Hey guys, I need some advise here pls. I am 120kg on 178cm and want to buy my first Gi. I would prefer Fuji but they told me I should go with a A4.... This cant be correct or is it?

So much for "If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments below"...

Sorry for the late reply. It's hard to determine the perfect size by only knowing a few numbers, in your case I do think an A4 would be the best fit. For your height an A2 is probably long enough, but because of your weight you will need a bigger size for the width. Depending on where your carry the weight, a size A3 might also be big enough.

Why don't you (Gi Experts) ever do reviews on Koral Kimono's or Atama?
@sashachip5 жыл бұрын
What you don't realize is that most of these companies are sending these Gis in for review. You rarely hear the reviewer say anything bad about the products because they are being compensated in some form. Brands like Atama and Koral are Brazilian companies and they don't follow these practices.

I need to buy the lightest gi for competition. I’m thinking either the Tatami Element, Kong’s Nova 4, or Fuji Espi. Which do you recommend?
@GiExperts6 жыл бұрын
Hi Michael, If you need the lightest gi, I would get the Fuji Suparaito. This gi weights about 1.3kg and it has great quality and durability.
