Cool, thats like perfect if you dont want a case for your tablet and a sleeve instead to get the most out of the thinness. With a sleeve the s oen is kinda weird to store if it doesnthave that stretchy loop thing on the side, but since this pen has a clip i can just attach it to the fabric.... Definitely worth a thought

As someone who uses samsung tabs for school (specifically note taking and annotations) the ergonomics of spens are so bad that i can’t last an hour with me not cramping. I’ve tried putting a silicone sleeve over it and even considering getting a pencil grip, but that would cover up the button on the pen which i also love using. This lamy pen is definitely on my wishlist and i know is very very very helpful for people like me!

Apart from the lack of ergonomic features of the S Pen, how did you find taking notes on the tablet? How hard was it to get used to not writing on paper with an actual pen? I'm currently waiting for my S7+ to arrive and I plan on using it for both work and school to take notes.

@@shockker2 hello! It was actually a pretty easy switch! Since my style of note taking is more on annotation than actually writing down notes (but i use the pen so much for notes it’s basically like writing down pages of notes). And in my opinion the app you use also affects the experience. I use one note and it’s really good on detecting pressure sensitivity. I actually feel like i’m writing down on paper :D it gets my handwriting to a T and bc the tip of spens are so tiny, it feels like an actual pen! (I prefer the hard tip)

I'd be curious to learn any negatives for using this pen for drawing/creating art. But if it writes well with no drawbacks, and uses the same technology from Wacom, probably not negatives for drawing/creating art on the S7+ I imagine.

The base of the pen where the nib is placed runs into the surface when used at an angle sooner than when using the original staedtler noris digital pencil (not jumbo.) It has more arc of available angle, with the same light to dark pressure calibration as this pen. You don't get a button. Costs half as much. Made from wood to feel like a pencil. Mine was priced as used for under $15 US D. If you want to draw from the side of the instrument, I expect you will appreciate the Norris Digital Pencil.

Thao,..Loved your video. Your solution for hiding the extra nibs in the empty barrel section is brilliant. You can also jam some cheap piece of ripped up foam in there too if the nib rattling around bother you. Also,..on that note,...for those that like a super heavy pen,..you can leverage that empty barrel space with material to increase the overall weight! just use your imagination! You can jam foam in there with tiny magnets to add weight or tiny pebbles or even craft beads etc. It's really a win win for everyone! I purchased an extra aluminum Lamy Ball point in metallic brown and swapped the barrel out of the EMR with that one. You can even order the aluminum ballpoints with your name engraved. The possibilities are endless. LOL! Anyway,...great job on your channel!

For a second, when i saw the thumbnail i tought you just stuck the spen into a fountain pen case lol. It does look more confortable than the actual Spen for long use sessions i would perhaps loved it more if it came with a rubber grip instead of the hard plastic, but it does still look more confortable than the regular spen.

Actually all the tech for Wacom emr is in the screen which is why the pens are almost empty. They have a little sensor for pressure sensitivity, but the main tech is on the screen and why you don’t need a battery. Though the pens aren’t that cheap if you buy them branded. They aren’t expensive to make and why most companies with Wacom EMR include them. The Wacom Emr styluses for those e readers are generic and you can buy them for $10. I bought one and they do feel like those $2 pens you get at the servo. But they have an eraser and still work very well.

LAMY is cool. How cool? Aston Martin drivers know all about it, because my last 2 models came with a factory engraved LAMY, so you can sign your speeding tickets in style. The pen is inserted into a special dash contraption, so it is always handy. And yes, Bond has one too. I have a Tab S7+ on order, so I guess the Samsung stylus just wont do. Nice video, Thao!

I just got the jumbo noris digital a couple weeks ago and I love it! I'm personally not a fan of pressing the button to erase on the s pen, so I love that the eraser on the noris works just like a real pencil. It's also way more comfortable to hold than the s pen. I paid $30 for mine on ebay and I really think it's worth it!

I would honestly say main audience being note takers, followed by artists. The heavier the pen, the more fatigue you'll get, you never really constantly write for over lets say 2h. And the base spen or those emr pens from Staedler are probably better for drawing.

I bought the Lamy shortly after getting the S7+. Makes note taking and writing so much more enjoyable. Hand cramps a bit much using the included S-Pen...which is still kept nearby, though I really don't use the bluetooth functionality. So it's not really a loss for me. Plus you can use the Wacom One nibs as replacements, which makes it so much more enjoyable. Tried to buy nibs from Samsung...and well...that didn't go so well.

Spen does not need to be charged to use on Samsung tablet, the reason we have to charge it is to use Air actions, the cool features only on Spen

Hey Thao! I've just learned that we won't be getting a Samsung Note for 2021. Well, you're missing a lot on the S Series. The S21 Ultra is an awesome phone. 120 hz refresh rate and you can still use your old Note 10 S-Pens or buy the slightly bigger S-Pen for it for only $40. Its also almost bezeless and has the most contrast OLED screen.

So happy with this LAMY EMR pen! Thank you so much! 🙏🙏🙏🙏I was also lucky there is a distributor in my country (RO) so it arrived in one day and it works perfectly! There are many "s-pen alternative" videos on YT but you are the only person who tested the tilt functionality which I use a lot when sketching. I have been using the s-pen intensively for more than a year and the tip feels wasted, it's working smoothly only if I keep the pen upright at 90°, otherwise it fells like I'm scratching the glass - shame Samsung! I don't need to use the s-pen now, it's not even comfortable, but I still wanted to save it somehow.. and guess what! My LAMY nibs (I bought a lot, hard + soft) work with the S-PEN! I was almost about to buy some aftermarket overly-expensive junk and I don't need to do that anymore.

Thanks for this. I just looked it up and this SHOULD work on my Tab S7+ , my surface book 2 AND My one x player ( handheld PC) as well as mutt Note 20 Ultra. I use all of those devices at least once a day so having one pen to control them all would be amazing! Hopefully this works out

I got this for my Tab S7. Great feel, but unfortunately it sometimes just doesn't write. On some areas of the screen, even on my Galaxy S21 Ultra, it just doesn't write. I am not sure if it is a nib issue or a dud pen.
