*Pro-Tips* - For pro sounding R&B beats learn the following: Secondary Dominants | Diminished Subs | Tritone Subs | 2-5-1 | Minor 4th Sub | and borrowing chords from the parallel scale.
@Adam-g-uk Жыл бұрын
Whats a sub ?
@GasolineGreg Жыл бұрын
Sub = “Substitution.” The 5 (5th degree of the scale) to 1 (1st degree of the scale) is a very important movement in any chord progression. The 5th is also the dominant chord of any scale. For example, in the key of C_Major: C(1)D(2)E(3)F(4)G(5)A(6)B(7) the G is the dominant chord that wants to resolve to the C.

@LifeStyleDidIt Жыл бұрын
Theory is amazing and very useful! But it can be a bit overwhelming when starting. I would say watch a bunch of producer melody tutorials and then take a day or 2 out the week to learn theory on the side! There are a bunch of free tutorials and even courses on KZbin

What up what up. I already had clapped at him. I'll copy and paste it here for ya': LIfeStyleDidIt is a beatmaking charlatan....an ego grifter....just like he holds beat contests to acquiesce to his frail narcissism. No non-POC guy like this can teach me anything about R&B nor RNB. He's too much of a Zilennial to understand. The last non-POC Juice-race guy that can produce is Scott Storch, and even he was borderline-rejectable when it came to his disposition in "the Culture". I would list R&B producers this guy should study before he gives asinine tutorials on how to produce R&B, but he would Fair Use Act 1976 bite off of them to death and not come up with his own ish! You Zillennials let this guy be the DJ Cassidy-DJ Khaled of the Culture. This guy gives me adam22 vibes ** BIG PAUSE **.

Man can you make a video about ""The minor chord"? I did not quite get it, like two and three fours is equals to a number I probably don't even know. So I'm having a hard time placing down the notes using this math equation. Major is easy, no math you just go big gap, small gap. Please make an informational video, 10minutes should do it. Thank you.

Hey! So if you place a root note , skip 2 notes place… skip 3 notes place… (you get a minor chord. Major chords (place root note) skip 3 notes… place. Skip 2 notes… place
