Do you have information where in the USA I could purchase the beautiful heart punch that has the cross hatching in it that was in the video at 1:23? Thank you
@CreatedByGwen10 ай бұрын
Unfortunately that one is no longer being manufactured I'm afraid, it's years old now. I did see this one amzn.to/47ELlA9 which is similar and it's the exact same brand/packaging as the heart one, you might be able to track one down at a local store or garage sale or even EBAY perhaps?

I bought my first punch nearly 30 years ago & I now have quite a few! Some get used more than others but I can never bring myself to get rid of any as you never know when you will need them! I love snowflake punches as you can get so many different ones, I have a whole drawer full (about 20 different snowflakes!) I also have lots of the same punches as you have & I'm in the UK. Great video, I learnt a few new hacks. My first punches were tiny little ones, moon, sun, star, butterfly etc, I still use these a lot. Beautiful layouts by the way.❤

Hey Diane, I use the Aluminium Foil and punch that through them. In the video, that was where I showed how to punch the foil with that butterfly punch. This is the only method I've seen and I will say that the best results I've had with it is to do it early, and frequently. If the punch gets too blunt it is very hard to fix. Just keep a stash of it in the same place you store your punches and give each one a punch whenever you use them. 👍

Very informative video, thank you. You didn't mention thickness of paper or I missed it. I have had to throw a few punches out in the past when they have jammed as the paper was too thin. Any tips for un-jamming beyond slamming down on desk top to release. Eleanor
@CreatedByGwen Жыл бұрын
Hey Eleanor, paper... hmmmm... I actually haven't had too much trouble with that. I do only tend to use scrapbooking pattern paper or 216gsm American Crafts card stock. The only issue I've ever had was with more intricate dies and the thicker card, no issues with thin papers. My suggestion would be what you mentioned, slamming down on a desk top to release, but I'd also then recommend punching with wax paper/baking paper - this was suggested to me by another lovely creative here in the comments. Sorry I can't be of more help. Perhaps someone will see this question and be able to add in their experience below. 💗💗💗

You have some great techniques for using punches. Thanks. The hardest thing for me to understand is how to line the paper on the border punches side by side so they punch the pattern in consecutive order. I can't see how to do that? Any easier help?
@CreatedByGwen Жыл бұрын
Thanks Katie... I'm not sure if you missed it, but I did show this towards the start of the video, least, I think that's what you are asking. There are images printed on the punch that you can line up your paper with, note though that the alignment for the straight edges is different to the alignment for the corners (if you have the set that goes around the entire page). The other tip I'll add here which I don't think I mentioned in the video is to try and keep the paper super straight, it makes the finished edge true and straight and helps with alignment. I hope this helps! If I've misunderstood you, please just ask me again, always happy to help!
