Brother Ryan, This video was fantastic!! So very informative as well as enjoyable. Dollywood is so beautiful at Christmas . It is mt favorite time to be there. Thank you for telling about the food and shows but especially focusing in on the birth of Jesus our Savior. He is what Christmas is all about. Thanks also for showing the clip og Hannah. We went to Dollywood last year and ate doing to go back. It was so beautiful and fun. We live in LA and dont even go to Disneyland. Dollywood is so much better.

We are planning to do the Christmas tour that includes this and are trying to figure out if we should eat early for dinner at the front porch cafe and go to the 5pm show before catching the tour at 6:30pm or go to the 3pm show, eat at the front porch cafe and catch the tour at 6:30pm.

You didn't mention it so I'm assuming they don't have it anymore. Last time we were there just after Thanksgiving they were serving up a dish made with chopped up red potatoes along with something else. They were cooking it in a large pot, and I'm telling you I still think about it even after all these years.

Thanks Mikayla! Backpacks are certainly allowed as I use it to bring in camera equipment all the time. Some rides have "cubbies" to place your things while you ride (such as bumper cars for example). Lockers are available at Wild Eagle, Mystery Mine, FireChaser Express, Daredevil Falls, Barnstormer, Smoky Mountain River Rampage, Tennessee Tornado, Country Fair and Lightning Rod. At these lockers, pay a one-time fee and you can rent from locker to locker without having to pay each time. We hope this helps and you have a great trip! This is super helpful. Is it possible to see the Christmas in the Smokies show and twas the night before Christmas show in the afternoons before dark or see both of them in the same day? We want to see both shows but might leave one of the two days before dark to drive to Newport to see the lights at Christmas never ends.

Yes, the length of each show is under 1hr, so you could definitely see both of them in 1 day. I would just double check the times when they get posted.

There is not really a "best day' to visit. November & December are VERY popular time to come to Dollywood. Our recommendation is to pack patience & consider purchasing a TimeSaver Pass if skipping the ride lines are important. A weekday when kids are in school will always be your best bet year round to go to Dollywood.
