Bought my first pair of waders on Amazon for 35 bucks. They performed better than my 500 dollar Redington waders which have leaked twice and been sent back for repair.The only thing I like about my redington waders is that they breath (sorta) and that they are stocking waders. The boots I got are also redington and are falling apart like crazy after 1 year of 1 time a week use.

Got skwala carbons last month. Used them in very cold conditions, and have nothing but good things to say. After seeing this podcast it just reinforces my trust in skwala, and I will continue to buy their products and support their mission.

Got some frog togg stocking feet waders, about 100 bucks, breathable and light, keep me dry.

That's me man I buy reddington or frog toggs and replace them every year they are cheap i usually buy 2 pair and I always have a backup. I wear the pants but I'm so sick of waders being garbage. I would rather sweat for a few days and go to wet wading and have something bullet proof for colder days Iv spent a few thousand on waders and if your out there damn near every day they gotta have something better for 900 fuckin bucks iv spent too many times

Bought Skwala Carbons few weeks ago ….best waders I’ve ever owned. They fit like hiking pants and make it so enjoyable to hike all day in them. And those quick release suspenders, MONEY!

Spend more money on wading boots, they can reduce falls which save your waders from rips and tears. I recommend korkers with studded felt (if they’re legal in your waters)

We love Korkers! Great products.

Tried studded felt, first time out with’m, ff 30 years, was climbing stream side on the lower Magalloway, slid 40 feet on my back, near death. Had I not been a seasoned climber, hockey guy, I’d be dead. Not good on dry rock. Tried again in the Rapid, figured wet, be different. Same experience. Love the Korkers, like the interchangeable soles, but spikes, maybe climbing Everest lol. I’m open to feedback, maybe missing something.

One of the best reasons to clean gear/ waders is to keep people from carrying organisms such as diatoms (Didymo or rock snot) from one river or stream system to the next.

For sure. That's one part we didn't even mention in the show. Thanks for sharing!

Spencer…you can buy one- leg of neoprene wader for $50 😂
@DallasLarson4011 ай бұрын
Raise your hand if you still are rocking neoprene waders that you got in high school 10 years ago 🖐️🫣 I’ve told myself every year I’m going to upgrade but who doesn’t love sweating their buns off while reeling in 8 inch rainbows😂

How about functionality- the stocking, belt, suspenders, zippers, and pockets?

How about a top load without the center post?

Ummmm. Not 100% sure. Would be cautious/hesitant to try. But you could if you're feeling bold. haha

My academy waders lasted 4 years. My Simms waders leak at the sock after about 1 1/2 years…but boy do I look cool wearing that simms logo around. 😎

Im so sick of waders being garbage for so much. Ill just buy frogg toggs and reddington pants until someone figures out how to build a thousand dollar wader for people who really get out there alot.
