Yall, if you don't understand, and yes. Buying from dandy works. It makes more twisted appear then just two, the max used to ne 8 but now it's 6. Meaning you have a higher chance to get mains, because there will be more twisted.

Buying stuff from Dandy's World doesn't increase the twisted amount or main appearance. That's pure misinfo. It doesn't work anything like that. The only thing that comes out of buying from Dandy is not getting T. Dandy in your run. I'd change it to: Step 1: Be Rodger. Step 2: Get to higher floors: The higher the floor, the more twisteds will appear, therefore increasing your chances of a main appearing. Step 3: Just have good rng lol. That's literally all there is to getting tons of main research. This is a little bit of extra info, but for ppl who already have all twisted research and have all the toons and want to immediately get Connie and Looey's trinkets right after the update comes: Just be Rodger, reset, and die on the first floor whenever Looey or Connie doesn't appear (since Looey and Connie are both gonna be common-uncommon twisteds). Repeat the cycle over and over again whenever you encounter any of them. For Rodger, you need to aggro said twisted 10 times in order to get full research so I would just do the same for Connie and Looey once they come out until I have full research on both of them. Another reason why getting a higher floor count is good is because it increases the chance for any given twisted to be a main Every 5 floors insreases the chance by 4% capping out at 20% on floor 25

2 times I got a main on floor five. I got Astro on floor 5 in a solo run and I only bought ONE item from dandy The second time was when I was in a lobby with 2 poppies (I was using poppy for mastery) and we got V1 on floor 5 but unfortunately I didn't collect a capsule and I didn't want to get spotted either soo no research on Vee for now. Edit: I got Vee AND a blackout and it was absolutely terrifying😭💀

Not buying does technically decrease the chance, because if twisted dandy can spawn that’s more potential twisteds that could spawn in place of what you’re looking for, but buying won’t increase the chance.

I main grinded for like 5 days with rodger,usually always got to floor 15+,playing with a good team,but uh,only get about 1 or 2,or no mains at all. but the second i unlock shelly i get 5 mains per 15+ floor run.... Actually, buying does not increase main chance, that was spread around by people who didn’t want Twisted dandy because it takes up a twisted spot, how main chance actually works is you start with 0% chance and every 5 floors it adds another 4%

Tbh I have no idea if being certain characters increases a chance of a main associated with the players character. Like, I've gotten Sprout three times on floor six (twice in solo runs) as Cosmo. I don't think I've ever played a round and got Sprout without a Cosmo being on the team, but maybe it's just luck.

getting mastery is like WAY easier bc you can just check stats and they will appear! i recommend if ur aiming for a main then do mastery first, then get research with rodger and since hes a fast extractor he can get ichor from machines also if you want more mains appear you can go into a full lobby the more the better bc apparantly the floors get harder with more players, if ur other teammates are MAIN characters that might even increase the more T. mains appearing too i don’t recommend solo or duo or a low team if there is only 4 total people left u should server hop next floor if there is no main you need sorry i yap too much but i just wanna state some stuff for myself

So, buying dosent incerases the main spawn chaces, but NOT buy decerases the chances. So just go to higher floors while buying. I forgot about it today, i should have been buying every floors since i got to floor 15 as brightney in a solo but forgot to buy and ended up with 1k tapes and pebble on floor 15.. no more mains. I need vee 3 times more (as a normal toon 3 times, and as rodger 2 times since i have 83 on vee.) Vee isnt spawning for MONTHS for me now, and i should've have been buying.. :/

No you're wrong. You get the research only once when you're chased by a twisted. If you're chased by a twisted multiple times on the same floor, you won't get any research. The only way to get more research from a specific twisted, is to encounter them on different floors.
