Note from a full time documentary editor. Exporting from caput in 4k is exclusively to trick the KZbin bitrate, you may get a slightly better version compared to 1080 but if you watch the 2 files (even on a 4k screen) you won't really notice that much of a difference, KZbin just handles 4k videos differently, say it reduces the quality by 50% for example (not technically accurate but bear with me) half of 4k is 2k, but half of 1080 is 720. Because of how the data rate scales down with resolution you won't notice that much difference in quality from 1080 to 4k on a video that was upscaled from 1080 to 4k. The benefit of this is it basically eliminates a reduced bitrate at 1080p. That being said, just export 4k from whatever editor you use and for goodness sake please don't use CapCut. From what I hear it sounds capable if you need to cut a section out of a video or want to do captions quickly, but dont try to learn actual editing with it unless your computer is not capable of running anything else. On the other hand please dont go ahead and purchase an editing software unless you know that you will use it. I would highly recommend Davinci resolve (the free version to start with, I use studio but its the same thing), it is my daily editing software that I have been using for about 5 years and is amazing from basic cutting and trimming all the way up to 5.1 surround sound with 3d vfx and Hollywood level HDR delivering. And yes, I do use it personally for VFX and will testify to how difficult it is to learn VFX just from KZbin. A smooth video starts with getting good footage, for the most part I would agree with everything in this video (except I would state no need for 240fps recording if you are just doing anything other than fast paced pvp) However, a smooth video also needs a good storyteller, dont worry about learning 'editing' per say, of course learn how to operate whatever software you choose to use, but focus on the content of your video, and the journey you take your viewers on. Dont focus on fast paced or retention editing. GLHF

Do you have a good setup, like my setup gets 400fps, but 100-200 with my obs settings. Do I need 240? Or is 60fps fine.
@i_Tbone6 күн бұрын
I would experiment with it, use 120 and if it overloads and skips frames, drop to 60
