Just to admit here my struggle with organizing and decluttering, its very true: if you start with organizing your spices, it makes you proud every time you use them when you are done doing this. I did, it was my very first ‘project’ years ago and until today it still makes me happy & proud I did. Mine are (mostly) in 1 drawer in an older (40+) kitchen and then its hard to find the right height. I use for other ones turntables and for a shorty: it needs to be on the lowest shelf in the higher cupboard, that means you will lose a lot of space but eventually I found a turntable with top shelf and I lined it for grip and easy clean. Works great. That means my labels in the drawer are on the lid. In my cupboard they are on the side. You just have to find out what works for you in your house. Great video with good tips!

Enjoyed your presentation. Just a note: I was able to purchase narrow measuring spoons on Amazon that fit into smaller spice jars.

I bought the progressive pro-keeper spice jars about two years ago and love them. They also come in a bigger size (same height but wider) for the spices I use a lot like salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. I have my 50+ spices on 4 of the 3 tier racks inside my cabinet plus two single racks on the inside of the cabinet doors for my mostI used spices. The plastic insert with the holes and the space for fitting a soon also pops out easily when getting a tablespoon of a spice. The holes for sprinkling are a bit larger than most spice jars and take a bit getting used to so that you don't over season when not measuring.

I much prefer smaller jars for spices because I cook and bake a lot. Problem is, the quality of spices will degrade over time, so smaller jars mean I will always have fresher spices on hand.

Great ideas. I mark the shaker side of the spice jar with a marker to denote “shake” here.

Great video! I like the first jars you showed with the black lids. I also think they would be the easiest to use as well as looking smart 😍 I'm not sure about a rack though which one I like best I mean. If probably go for the turntable 😊 thanks though I really enjoyed this video 👍

Interesting -- I bought what you called the classic spice jar organization jars. I believe you were showing the 4oz. They also have the 8oz. For ones, I use a lot, I use the 8oz (like baking spices) jars. Also, the spices you buy at the store, the same amount will fit into the 8 oz with some space. For a teaspoon, you open the little door in the lid and pour out your spoon full. I just bought a big package of black (like chalkboard) labels for spices and other containers too. For any special spices that do not have a label, and that is very few -- they have blanks an and a white pen for you to write on the name. I love my stepup for in the cupboard - NO, you do not have to lift up or remove all of the front jars. Every regular kitchen cabinet I have ever seen has adjustable shelves and there is more than enough room. However, I prefer the same sort of holder that lays in a drawer in the kitchen and you can just see all of them at a glance. If you are going to use spices for fancy dishes and health, you are going to need a whole lot more than 6 jars. Also, if you are going to grow and dry your own spices, you will need some bigger back up jars or canning jars. My parsley takes up a few qt canning jars every year. And, stevia the same.

Will the labels disintegrate over time when washing? Are there any jars that come with the labels made into them permanently that will hold up to washing over years? Good video thanks for showing all the options. I won't upgrade my spices though unless I find a better method than the stickers to label
