Great video! The most complete video for bjt in any amplifier. For someone interested in audio, you should watch this over and over until it makes sense. This condenses months of working on amplifiers into a few weeks with studying anything you don’t know in the video. I wish this was available when I first got into amplifiers and electronics. Thanks for taking the time to teach others.

I gotta applaud how you put together such wonderful videos while presumably doing course work. Enjoyable vid as always

I watched the video multiple times and really enjoyed. This is a real ultimate guide. I admit I have a request for a similar video featuring FET transistors (J-FET, etc. ) and especially their linear part. This would be awesome!

I have plans for FETs in a future video. :)

I could not find the second part. But FET in the linear region are weird. They are often (digital and analog) used as transfer gate with symmetric source and drain. People don’t seem to care for gate voltage. They use them as relay. Open or closed. When Open, there are so many carriers in the channel that neither source or drain can suck them out with their relative small voltages . And then there is the Gilbert mixer which applies an analog signal onto the gate. I still think that source and drain are symmetric here. Or should be for max linearity?

This is the most useful BJT information dense video on KZbin by far. Thank you!

So much info in relatively short video, I like that! Quality work, thanks.

Superb, however, need to discuss input and output impedances of common base, common emitter, and common collector configurations.

This video was pretty insightful thanks a lot. Will you also cover CLASS AB amplifiers in your future videos, like how you referenced the CLASS A which is the inefficient variant?
@SineLab
@SineLab Жыл бұрын
Yes, I plan on fitting class AB into a future video.

Hey, love your channel. I noticed you use ferrule connectors instead of standard dupont. Any particular reason why?
@SineLab

No particular reason, it's just what the jumpers came with. :)

Has nothing to do with transistors but i have to ask, what kind of capacitor do you put in those breadboard power rails??
@SineLab
@SineLab 9 ай бұрын
I put 100nF capacitors for filtering on the rails. It helps a lot.

@@SineLab Oh really? I'll give it a try myself! What kind of PSU do you use to need such filters? Not really necessary if you are using batteries for example, right?
@SineLab
@SineLab 9 ай бұрын
@@JazzBerri Nowadays, I use a linear power supply for most things. Though I'd still say to use a filtering capacitor even with something as clean as a battery. You'd be surprised by the noise that can appear.

@@SineLab a battery shouldn't give any any issues but now im curious, I'll hook it up to a oscilloscope to see if i get any changes!

For the MOSFET edition, use BS170 N Ch and BS250 P Ch Signal (not power) MOSFETs, they come in TO-92 ❤. DONT use 2N7000 it has SGD pinout which I dont like 😅 😂. BS170 is considered as an equivalent of it. So both these BS components are also available as KL variants, like BS250-KL which are slightly better. So I stock BS170 (non KL) and BS250-KL, so that I getter a better match between the two as BS250 has quite lower performance than BS170, BS250KL gets closer to BS170.

thanks, analogue components are a special case with a great deal of value in understanding, if you want your finger on the pulse of some environmental variable they are a must!, anything and everything on the subject of transistors and op amps is appreciated, most of what I do is digital and using mosfets to solve most applications, bit lazy I guess😉 even the right MOSFET is enough to give me the shits when combing through yet another pdf data sheet 🙃,Thanks again and keep it up
