When you live in Florida or any hot area that has beaches, and you are an elderly woman, don't be embarrassed to wear a two-piece since the one pieces are so hot. That is just another body shaming. Nobody criticizes the men in just their swim shorts with their wrinkly old knees and bellies hanging out. Older ladies.... you do you. You have lots of company. I'm 80 and no longer anyone's problem to solve.

Yes, way back when I was 52, I sure did wear a two piece as I had a great waistline and curvy figure. lol. I'd say that you should wear a 2 piece as long as you can.

Well, this was a timely video. We just returned from a week long vacation at the beach. As a 74 year old 5’ 1” woman with a decent shape except for a DDD bust, it’s nearly impossible to find swim wear that is flattering on me. Although I do have a Lands End one piece petite suit that works, it’s challenging to find something that my bust isn’t squishing out of. Any style that I like, that is appropriate and classy either doesn’t come in a petite or a large cup size. This year, when I didn’t wear my one good swimsuit, I wore swim shorts and a tank top with my well fitting bra underneath. I’d kill for a simple, high leg maillot swimsuit in a petite with a larger bust area suitable for D cup or larger.

Hi, we are about the same age and height and I am broad shouldered with a healthy bust line similar to yours. Yes, difficult to find a swimsuit and now that I have lost a waistline. I like my structured Lands End Tankini underwire top, very well made and covers my tummy. I finally found a "bottom" that works with a high leg and is flattering. No more standard 2 piece suits for me and I haven't found a one piece suit that works as of yet.

My pet peeve is that it’s still hard to find a good supportive underbra in swimsuits. Not as bad as it used to be but …

Good video. My pet peeve is 'old lady' prints in swimsuits - dark prints that have the motifs all run together. I like lighter colors and small prints. I've had great luck with Lands End swimsuits, but it's hard to find colors and prints I like. I wear both tankinis with high waisted bottoms and long-torso one-piece suits. vee necks are most flattering. I have three cover ups that I love: a cotton kimono robe in white with navy, a heavier cotton kimono (print on a navy ground), and a man's button-up nightshirt in white cotton. It reaches my ankles, has a pocket, and has my initial on the pocket. All three are thrift finds. I'm 76 with a rectangular figure but a post-menopause tummy.

Agree with you. I feel the same and prefer "solid" colors as it is difficult to find the right "print" without looking frumpy. Yes, I too, now have a more "rectangular" figure (miss the waistline, oh well.) and I also have to cover the tummy now which I like about tankini's.
