For those wondering about blood is power... There is a neat trick for scourge to avoid it being cleansed... The f5 pulses so the easiest way is to click f5 first and then press blood is power It transfers the condition instantly without any chance of being cleansed 😊

I quite like Celestial Reaper for open world and WvW. Axe/Focus + Staff. Spite/Blood/Reaper. All Wells + Chilled To Bone. Will sometimes break out the golem to solo champs. Build is nowhere near max DPS but is just sooo well rounded with elements of offtank, off-healing, and CC rolled up into one.

It is awesome indeed tho I started to dislike it recently due to quite low survi rate compared to my Revenant, but rev is a different league. Necro is still nice and fun with qdps Harb

If you can fight without worrying about your own survival in most cases and deal good damage then that`s also a very good support in group content, that's why I like my power reaper. I play my reaper with berserker or celestial stats, with greatsword plus dagger/sword or landspear plus two swords. I also like the "reaper minion master".

So sad u didnt talk about power harbinger, it has an equally simple rotation, but with the advantage that your shroud skills have 900 range, plus it generally has slightly higher damage output, and also uses the same gear. I played power reaper for a long time but since I tried power haribinger i haven't used reaper again except in some very specific situations. Harbinger is my go-to for Necromancer in both power and condition builds, and scourge as healer.

@@anders8461 Yes im currently using spear and gs, however i used to use dagger/sword - gs and still got slightly better numbers than reaper, it's just a matter of preference

The upcoming changes to tranfusion is what killed my necro main. I love doing the aheal scourge thing. It's the best healer for public semi-organized strikes/fractals etc. I freaking love it. Anet should nerf transfusion not demolish it completely.

Hey, I followed this build for power reaper and I get to max 14k dps. The only difference is I'm using superior runes of the deadeye on my equipment (which is exotic if that matters). I really don't understand what am I doing wrong. Also do I need to make 30k in order to do daily strikes?

@myselfme767 might be rotation, might be gear problems, it's hard to say. You don't have to do 30k but it makes things easier for sure

I play every class just enough to not be complete ass at them- i am far from the best on most builds. I'm best on healers since I generally pug / command my own groups. I feel like I'm actually pretty good on c virt though

Easy rotation? piano class, every utils, weap swap.. stop calling it easy. (power mecha is easy 3 buttons yes. this is not).

Reaper was the build I started out with. It is one of the easiest dps specs to get into and can be made low apm with small changes that'll cause you to press only like 4 different buttons. Power Mech is not a good dps anyways.

I think Necro is the second biggest pile of shit in this game. Harbinger is not competitive whatsoever - pathetic damage, 0 util and you are constantly around 13k hp. Reaper is just dead for all endgame content, you stepped into the poo for a half a second/got hit at all, and all your energy is gone, thus dps. Scourge got nerfed too many times. Condi dps sitting at the bottom of the dps benchmark with a million button rotation and you have to mentally count your f1's while dpsing, dodging and doing mechanics. It's just shit to play. And support is now just another boring "balanced" uneventful class, you don't even have to position yourself anymore, you just slam your keyboard with your fist every few seconds to pulse barrier. Anet have 0 gamedevs.
