Getting a lot of RDP shortpath disconnect errors that are causing disconnects... I've followed your instructions and all info that I can find on the topic but still just being beat up by tickets regarding the disconnects. I've also recently lost all faith in microsoft support... What is your troubleshooting methodology for these types of problems?

First off…don’t lose faith in support. Never open a sev C ticket. If it’s important enough to contact support it is at least a Sev B Also, getting connections right depends on many things. 1. Don’t have all the required URLs open 2. Do your clients have any URL filtering software that you need to allow AVD traffic 3. Do you have a firewall or NSG you need to allow AVD traffic on 4. Have you configured reverse connect (default connection type) to be blocked or allowed 5. How did you configure Shortpath, for which method? 6. Do you force clients to connect over VPN before they connect to AVD or do you allow the connection over the internet 7. What type of join are your host doing 8. Which AVD Client are you using

i wonder what if i don't want to use STUN and only use TURN as it doesn't require me to do anything other than set the validation mode on

If you block the ports for STUN but allow TURN...I don't know. Try it and let me know if it works 😁

@@AzureAcademy you know what scratch that, the problem is symmetric NAT so STUN will never work

How about if I could enable you to use TURN without STUN…stay tuned
