My dad was an extra in "Hoosiers." Great movie and great story of Indiana Basketball! Born and raised a Hoosier.

I don’t know how I missed this. My dads going to love this. I know I’ve mentioned to you I am from Henry County and my involvement with the Hoosiers Gym and Indiana basketball, but I also knew many people who where extras in the movie. The man that played the trainer was a good friend of the families His name was Ralph “Whitey” Shively. I have a good story he told me about him and Gene Hackman he told me and my grandfather right before he passed. I was looking for your Return Of The living Dead Video and I saw this first. Very awesome

I have honestly never seen this movie. As a kid, I was not much of a sports kid, so it just never seemed like anything up my alley. I have to say, thanks to this video, I plan to rectify this some 32 years later. Thanks for sharing this. Great job.

Adam, you are as American as apple pie. You embody the best moral fiber I know. We need to be more like you. There's a genuineness that you possess and portray in and throughout the films you've chosen to make that brings out the best in the human spirit. Thanks

Thanks Adam. I am a high school basketball coach and I periodically show this movie to my teams. It is great to see the filming locations as they look today. Sadly, at least one of the Hickory team has passed away. I would love to be able to coach a game in the "Hickory" gym....

+longone610 I bet that can be arranged. Message the Hoosier Gym page on Facebook. I never attended their annual games, but I have been fortunate enough to watch "Hoosiers" in the gym about 3-4 times.

Excellent video as usual Adam. I have been in the Hoosier Gym many times. Even watched the movie in the gym a few times. If you return to Knightstown, I highly recommend the hand breaded tenderloin at Home Court Cafe. Kevin went all out with his basketball theme as he has with his home-made foods. Other nearby basketball themed must sees are Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in New Castle and Mozzi's Pizza Buffet in Greenfield.

Wow, nicely done! I have been to many of those locations myself. I knew many of the people in the movie. The opposing coach walking up to Coach Dale and shaking his had at about the 11 minute mark is Jack Schult, one of my junior high school football coaches, and the official who comes to the bench and asks if the team is ready to play is Tim Fogarty who played on the high school football team for which I was a manager.
