As you describing your “ultimate” rifle I cringed. However, when you showed the end result I had to agree it was a beautiful firearm. I hope you have many years of enjoyment using it. Thank you for sharing.

I'm the 5th generation wood worker. I'm New Mexico USA I like making me my own stock for my rifles and starring on my friend Rifles know. Is a work of art 🎨. There's not much gun makers that do it every More.

Hi Max. Great video thankyou. I like your thinking of having something different and out of the box. A credit to Krieghoff for taking on your wishes. I was in a similar position. I was looking for a rifle manufacturer who would make me a single shot kipplauf rifle in .303 British (because I want to be different!). I went to both Blaser and Merkel. Neither would build me one as it was not on their calibre list. Guess what ?. Krieghoff have offered to build me one!. I applaud them and will be ordering the rifle shortly.

I dont know much about hunting, only spearfishing. But if I hunted, that is exactly the weapon I would want too = a single shot, simple and lightweight, with a scope. Perhaps without the silencer. After all, like you said, it is about the one shot. Like spearfishing, you only got one shot and you better make it count. Great job and it is not a Frankenstein, it is absolutely beautiful and practical!

Εύη Λαμπρέα fish are unlikely to attack you are they ? Single shot weapon means that you will rely on the PH to put away a charging animal.

I understand your choice of ultimate rifle because i use it sometimes ( breaking barrel rifle ) and i know how is it useful , but i prefer repetrier anyway . I wish to know how expensive was it .

Im 40. Own a Mossberg 500. I would like to purchase a used/like new Browning BAR Mark II Safari rifle in .308 w/BOSS to go hunting deer & elk with. Would you hold out for the .308? Or If you had the chance to get a new Browning BAR Mark II Safari in .270 w/BOSS right now, would you go for it?

Give me a Purdey or Holland ; perhaps a 416 Rigby double barreled . Boss double barreled 465 h&h magnum. Westley Richards 375 h&h take down mauser action . There are so many better rifles than Krieghoff. Fanzoj -Ferlach , Mannlicher to name but a few.

Steyr sucks, had one and apart from the high mount i needed for it, which i dont like, the safety failed frequently

The problem is that you can get multiple Krieghoffs for one of those. "Much better" is definitely subjective.

No, it's sighted in on the mount where you can remove the scope for transporting and then reattach the scope by clicking in the mount it's on without having to sight it in again. And I doubt he's selling it.

@@BonesTheCat Excellent reply. Especially your last line. It's the same thing with restoration on an older rifle. I'd rather shoot and own a beautiful rifle than worry about resale value when I'm dead.
