At the UK SWU launch event a blue/red Iden deck came top 8, just bombing the board over and over and then healing (3 Superlaser Blasts!?)

Seems like a solid list, excited to get more games in and get a feel for it. I actually think Black One could age well since that type of effect can be a ridiculous refill in an aggro top end in other games, but the stats are really pitiful and it potentially dying the turn you play it is awkward.

Thank you for your tier list, I love them! Personally I see devastator alittle differently, and I think it’s the best capital ship so far. Being in green it has ramp in aspect and should come out before turn 9. Having sentiel is huge. Being able to play this, blow up your opponents biggest ground thing and then protecting an entire arena with sentiel is huge. Overwhelm is nice for offensive options. With avenger you get less control and can still lose because they could sac a weak unit or can still be destroyed in Space. Rentless doesn’t have much of an impact when you play it unless you are already ahead, so more of a win secure card. There have been games where dropping a devastor has won me a game down 20 life. Thank you again for the great content, looking forward to seeing more SWU content :D

Maybe there are just too many people playing against me with super fast decks but I feel like the random come from down 20 if you make it to turn 7/8 is the only applicable win for that ship. I actually love that it exists for late games I’m just not making it to any late games hahaha

I personally feel like Vigilance and Avenger should be top of the A tier honestly. The Krennic and Iden Versio Decks seem to be very strong with these cards.

i love black one and it has a lot of potential. The potential for draw 6 in a red aggro deck to refill is huge. Plus even someone saying its a B in Han, even in one deck a B that isn't an unplayable card. I feel like this will find homes in more decks then half of these after a little time.

Dont sleep on Hera double green with ECL for Command. This card is doing everything Hera wants to be doing on any given turn. I do agree that the resource should come in ready and the damage should not be limited to non-unique but this is a resupply and a True Strike in a cost effective package.

Definitely need another thoughtful tier list for those of us who will only be choosing between the 3- 5 total legendaries we ended up with. A rares one would be cool or just a random one like top hero upgrades etc. clearly tier lists are the content people are here for! Even more people than subscribe haha

I think all the Double aspect Legendary cards will end up being S tier in a few sets when double aspect decks are actually viable and they will be stables.

Looking at all the controls in Yellow, it really feels like they undercosted bounce and exhaust effects, especially since most of them have no target limit. A "No Good to Me Dead" on a Leader or big unit is brutal. In fact, Yellow singlehandedly makes playing 7+ costed units very risky since it is quite easy for the opponent to control the unit. You really need to be able to drop it when they are tapped out and then take the initiative.

I love Vigilance in my control Chewbacca deck😊 Healing 5 from a Base and a potential defeat of a unit is extremely helpful to get in the late game.

I would love to see this for all cards in the game. Probably not all at once. But you could probably do a super quick round to filter out uninteresting cards. Like, say the card, five seconds to vote. If everyone votes C or below it’s out. If anyone votes B+ it’s in. Then you take all those in another video.

Nice fun list! We mostly agree, but there were three cards that we kind of disagreed on. Millenium Falcon is worthy of an S as a card, as it can act as reach and removal, but both having to tie up a resource to it to keep it in play, and the fact that the yellow/white package at the moment is not very good would mean that the Falcon is just not as playable as we would like it to be, and I rated it as a B as such. Vigilance for me is unplayable. Its effects have low impact on the game and it doesn't make you want to play double blue for it, and especially not 6 off-aspect. When FFG releases 3 more good cards for milling, then maybe yes. Finally, Superlaser Blast is a D for me. You're using all your resources to play it, you need to be going second, wait for your opponent to use their resources, and you need the playfield to be disadvantageous to you. It's very expensive, very situational. It's a great "break glass in case of emergency" card, but it's far from meta-defining. Loved the video, it creates conversations. Keep up the good work!

From a veteran magic the gathering player with 27 years of tcg experience: You all are undervaluing Black One. Low curve, dump your hand, now you are discarding zero to draw 3, then ADDITIONALLY and totally free you get to dump your hand trade Black One and get 3 more free cards. In a game where all cards are lands free cards are king and Black One might be the best legendary once people figure out how to play.

Hard agree, I think the only thing holding black one back is that it isn’t considered a rebel trait, but the next set having resistance fighters will more than likely add support to black one

Notably the way card advantage works doesn’t feel 1 for 1 like in magic. Card draw is a lot less potent here due to a number of factors. Perhaps in the future there will be more red hero decks that want Black One but for now it feels like Han stands alone

I think Black One needs to be reevaluated. For Leia Red. It doesn't really matter that it costs 6, or that it's a 4/4. Control pays 6 for Bounty Hunter Crew and *its* a 6 mana 4/4. "Discard your hand" lolololol I'm aggro, I don't have a hand by turn 5. Draw. Three. Cards. There is no much removal, guys. Aggro doesn't need to draw another tapped K2, it needs actual card draw to find the For A Causes that kill the opponent. It's not a rebel! Doesn't matter. It doesn't have sentinel. Doesn't matter. Three fresh cards.

Shields and experience tokens are in fact upgrades as well, if you look at the token cards they say upgrade at the top and it’s also clarified in the rules 😄

I think you guys have to decide how you'll do the tier list, in this vid you guys kept going between how good a card is just based of its abilities to judging how good a card is based on the current decks, i believe they all shouldve been judged based solely how good the card is without any other meta cards or decks

Hi, Guys! I've wanted to finish the video before this comment, but I cant help myself. Today I've spent about 40-60 minuites to break down the internal math of the game and something made me think that you would be intrested in the finds. Im not gonna walk you trought the full process since its pretty boring to read about and most of it is just writng cards as equations and comparing cards to eachother back and forth, back and forth, back and borth. Im gonna give you the value of each card in what Im gonna referr to as efficency points, EP. Every cost you pay to use the card increases its EP and every benefit it gives lowers it. Cards with a few exceptions always end with 0 EP, which means they are balanced. (Side note both the TIE figther and X-Wing cards have -EP, I guess thats a surprise for noone.) EP you gain Using the card = 5EP Every resource it costs = 2EP The game also has a "big guy buff", more expensive cards have bigger EP budget, than you'd expect. This is pretty common in card games, however it works in very unique way here: The buff happens at cost 5 and it gves the card +2EP, than this value both increases by 1 for each additional cost AND stacks with itslef. So a 5 cost card gets +2 for the 5th cost, while 6 cost card gets +2 for the 5th cost and +3 for the 6th to a total of +5 EP. (In case you wonder how being "unique" adds up to this, it dosent.) So EP "budget" = 5(card usage) + 2*resource cost + big guy buff(+2,+5,+9,etc.) EP you loose 1 Health = 1EP 1 Power = 2EP Shielded = 3EP Sentinel = 3EP Ambush = 3EP Overwhelm = 3EP Saboteur = 2EP Drawing a card = 6EP Destroying a unit = 17EP Dealing 1 dmage = 2EP (Raid and Grit are not quatifyable, since they are vectors and not constants. Raid1 on a 6 drop? Does nothig. Raid1 on a 2 drop? Dream come true. And Restore is hard to point down atm. Probably also a vector since Restore2 seems to be between 2-6EP depending on the card.) Its also important to note, that there are certain abilities that cards can get for free in certan colors, like how the Wampa has Overwhelm or how Echo Base Defender has Sentinel. And that abilties that destroy units with in a certain health range, like " destroy a unit with 4 health or less" are priced as dealing damage equal to the amount of maximum health +3EP. This mostly moddels as if you'd play a unit with Sabotuer and Ambush a Power equal to said Health cap who destroys itself after the attack. And thats it for now. Most cards end up being at 0EP with a few +/- here and there. So, smell the powercreep filled future.

So we have 16 different legendaries, I can play up to 3 copies of a card. So for a full set I need 48 legendaries. ratio is 1:8 within the booster, 24 boosters in a display. So I need 16 displays for a complete ammount of legis?! or just go buying single cards? sounds worse than lorcana XD

Lorcana needs 4 of each legendary so I don’t think so haha. Not all decks play legendaries either so you don’t need a full playset unless you want one 🤷‍♂️

On the first card i already disagree lol. The aggro decks of the game are the best by far so far. If we get a way to cheat this out sooner then it'll be good. But turn 8 the game is already over...again ramping it out by turn 4 is NEEDED cuz the game is over by turn 5 or 6.

Aggro is definitely strong in this game, I think especially due to the fact that you draw 2 cards each turn they don’t really gas out in the same way as in other games. That said tho it seems people have had some good success against aggro with a deck like iden

To be fair they partially helped this by adjusting the mill rules to “speeding up the win” instead of other games where it’s an immediate win.
