Now blaze just hangs out with silver because 06 sorta happened and blaze just feels comfortable with it. People are always bringing up Silver being tricked in Sonic 06, you can't really even blame him because in the future him and Blaze were the only ones who could continue to actively fight Iblis but the damn thing was literally immortal always coming back no matter how many times they defeated it and the location of the chaos emeralds were completely unknown so they didn't have any other solution left at the time until Silver was sent to the past.
