It's a great camera - I regularly use the 45, 55 and 105, although I have some other lenses as well. The lenses are comparatively cheap for the quality you get both in image and construction especially compared to the more recent lenses for digital cameras. The size and weight of the camera is something to embrace and adapt to rather than take as a burden or handicap when out shooting. That also looks like a great camera shop - I wish we had more film camera shops like that in the UK!

It is for sure! I think that's a really good setup you have there and those lenses have some really good quality to it as you say. Pentax glass is beautiful. I think if you commit to the size and weight you'll get used to it eventually, but it's something you'll have to consider. Yeah this shop is really a pearl, just incredible, visited them yesterday... Thanks for the comment mate!

Trust me, you can be slightly drunk at a concert and go hand held at 1/30 and nailed it and then get blurry pictures at 1/125. It mostly depends on how sturdy YOU are when you press the shutter. Otherwise, besides its size, the P6x7 is a joy to use and IMO way less cumbersome than the RZ/RB 67. The camera/lens ecosystem is cheaper than the RZ - I own the 105mm, the 45mm and the really fun 35mm fisheye. The only drawback is flash speed sync though. But if you shoot portraits and don't need your subjet to do fast movement it's more than enough.

I wouldn't recommend that lol but it's possible. Of course it depends on how sturdy you are but overall the mirror slap and and heft of the camera will need a more steady situation. I really think that for a lot of people who like to shoot SLR's the Pentax 67 is a very good option. I also didn't have any issues with the flash sync speed, but I never have also not on rangefinders.

The camera looks very nice ! and with the wooden handle, love it ! seems like a cool studio, and amazing shots of the couple! the depth of field looks so smooth and nice, and really sharp! But isn't the camera very hard to handle, looks very heavy? but hey, its on my to buy list to :p And the seaside at the nederlands looks like our sea in Belgium, but still a bit cuter ! :D And once again, Nice episode! :D

Thanks my friend for the comment! Appreciate that a lot! Yeah the quality is amazing, but it's a beast to hold. Not like you would hurt your arms but you'll definitely feel the weight. Beautiful camera for sure!

So good! I’ve also got a Pentax 6x7 and wondering what flash trigger you used and the cable to connect them? Would love to try flash on it
@TIPSinc0126 күн бұрын
Thank you! I used the Godox trigger for the flash units on top of a simple hot shoe to flash cable.

so, is the RB67 in the background a spoiler for what camera you chose, or is there something i missed?
@TIPSinc0127 күн бұрын
Haha sharp! But I’ve owned the RB67 for a lot of years already. But you might guess what the last episode is going to be about 👀

Great camera. But to big, heavy and has shutter slap. Ibhve had 3 and sold all 3. Got myself 2 mamiya 7II around 12 years ago and have never looked back.
@TIPSinc0125 күн бұрын
Yeah it’s a workout! So you bought those 7ii’s in a reasonable time? Or were they still expensive at that time?
