On Wekusko, my bro and I have our most success either trolling cranks or bottom bouncers with crawlers. If we find stacked fish, jig & a minna can't be beat. Pink jig head destroys all other options, too.

That soft bite can be so tough, especially with clear water and lots of bait. Still a respectable day considering the conditions. Beautiful lake !

It's funny to see the difference between watching you vs a certain Northwoods Wisconsin angler I also watch with respect to the way each of you uses your electronics. You definitely have the advantage (IMO) utilizing Garmin vs Humminbird for live imaging but he seems to get a lot of mileage out of his Humminbirds side imaging. You're both very effective fisherman with your own tactics and fishing preferences and I think the best value for me who's trying to increase their skill set is in gleaning from both. So I often wonder how one compares to the other. I wonder how this particular body of water would have finished using a more traditional approach. Not that you'll ever find me hating on live imaging. I'm just curious. Anyways, great video as always Clayton, I definitely enjoy your content and channel and hope to see more from you soon 🍻

Hey clayton, my motor trolls a little fast in gear at idle, i think around 3.5 mph, what would you recommend doing to slow down a bit? i was thinking about trying two drift socks or back trolling but i dont have wave whackers which is a pain lol, drift socks or wave whackers? also what is your perfered speed, not using leadcore
@ClaytonSchickOutdoors Жыл бұрын
I like to troll around 1.8-2.2mph. Drift socks might me a good call but that might not slow you down enough. I started to use my trolling motor a lot which I have been liking.

Stopped watching when you said that you dont want to show your spot. Even a faithful subscriber until now. Why not show your spot? You still have to get there and have the resources to fish there...cant believe you said that.. dissappointed.
@ClaytonSchickOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Because the area was told to me by the owner of the lodge. So ask yourself if that would be fair to him?? This is getting crazy. Am I supposed to give people GPS waypoints right to where I am fishing? Come on man… You have a youtube channel, if your videos had thousands of views would you want to give out every spot you fish? SURE hard to please everyone these days...
