Hey Blake! I've been watching and learning woodworking videos on KZbin intently for over a year and this is the first time I've commented on anyone's stuff. I'm a huge fan of Jay Bates and April Wilkerson, etc., so it's funny that Jay happened to be the most recent comment below me, here, after 100's of comments. Your videos are superb, especially considering that these appear to be your first few ever!? I'm impressed with your demeanor and how down to earth you seem. I also respect that you don't have a shop full of brand-new state of the art equipment that's barely used, if you know what I'm saying? I appreciate and respect your craftsmanship and I LOVE the vibe and ideas that you have going in your shop! Wow. I am developing a shop in about 1/3 of a 2 car garage and there are dozens of things that you do and ideas that you give and that I model and aspire to do myself. I've been utilizing a dust deputy for a year, now, and swapping between small tools, but it doesn't work well for larger tools and I just received a new planer and am acquiring a jointer in short order, so I need to move to something dedicated with far larger CFM and 4" ducting. I only have 2 disappointments in learning about you and your channel... 1. You only have a couple videos so I'm limited in what I can learn from you! 2. You haven't yet gone big with dust collection yet, which is currently my next big project. You and I are like-minded in many ways and I would think that you'll do dust separation/collection similarly to how I would. Giving you a hard time a bit, here, but I wanted you to know and be encouraged that I just love who you seem to be and how you are doing what you do! I have far less experience or skills than you do and don't know if you care to have any advice or suggestions, but I couldn't help notice you struggling with that standard wood glue bottle when trying to get glue into those narrow cracks between lams in the plywood that you split during your router enclosure glue-up. Have you seen these by Fastcap? www.fastcap.com/estore/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=57367. They're unbelievable, only cost a few bucks, and are one of the best values for the money in my entire shop! The mini version with it's fine tips would have knocked that project out of the park. Just sayin. Anyway, I am sure looking forward to hundreds more of your videos! Thanks again for putting in the time to make them and your willingness to share you shop tour pretty much first thing (others often wait years to get to that)! Learning a TON and appreciate you, man! ;-) LEIF
@weberwoodshop7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words! I don’t have one of those glue bottles but the original glue bottle actually works great for forcing glue down into cracks because the flat hole can create a nice seal against the wood if you push hard enough.

Excellent use of space! I'm a beginner woodworker and I'm of the mind to move my humble workspace from my basement with very low ceilings to my one car garage for more vertical space and less indoor noise. This was the first video I found on that subject and I am very inspired, thank you for sharing!

The "Tiny House" of wood shops. Incredibly efficient use of your space. Can you imagine all the wives out there whose husbands have much larger shops? If they saw this video, they'd be asking their husbands why they needed so much space. And you've even accommodated your family in your space with the laundry area, bike storage, "attic" storage and craft corner. Well done, and you have a new subscriber.

Blake, I just revisited this video because I am searching for ideas for my shop. I also work out of a single bay garage. WOW! What incredible organization and efficient planning. I just sold my house with a 1300 sq ft shop. Well thought out and organized shop. Stir stick back splash is the best. I'm amazed at how clean it is for not having a dust collection system, other than the shop vac and Jet air filter.
