If your a boater and knee pain from chronic standing. These are a great option. I can honestly say that the help you stand longer and have less pain after a long day on the water. Also spray the canvas with a water proofing spray to minimize soaking the canvas. Do this on the inside and out.

Taking a trip to Italy this month. Average 5 hours walking per day. Would these be good shoes for that?

I have had my pair for two days. They are very comfortable but, they didn’t have my exact shoe size.

I don't get the "recovery shoe" part everyone talks about Would you recommend this for someone that works 10+ hours a day, that is walking/standing the whole time, and lifting heavy boxes? 🤔

How’s the grip on sole? Did you find it extra slippery when you were on the boat?
@steveruppel4 жыл бұрын
The interface on the bottom of shoe in relation to the surface you’re on was fine. The most slippery interface is between your wet foot and the inside of the sole. That’s an issue I will be addressing in an upcoming Oofos sandal review!!

Would you stand on cement for 8 hours a day in them?
@steveruppel2 жыл бұрын
Probably not. The sole itself would probably suit that punishment just fine, but the upper part of the Low Shoe doesn't have the structure to hug the foot enough for that long. I'd recommend a Hoka brand shoe for standing long periods of time like that.

@@steveruppel I'm wearing skechers archfit max cushion right now. They feel great, but my pinkie toes go numb from sitting on the edge of the sole. My feet are quit wide in the front. I'm looking for something that soft and supportive, but with lots of forefoot room and not too wide of a heel.

@@purity4all check out the Hoka Bondi... it comes in a wide. I sold LOTS of those when I owned a shoe store. You get a 30 day money back guarantee if you buy it off their website. Might be worth a try.

I just bought a pair of the oofos sandles. I had a pretty serious accident on my motor bike and eventually have my ankle fused plus other surgeries. Been having a had time walking the last 7 years, even custom made shoes sucked. Passd these up once at a gas station on the hiway in the middle of know where Canada. Pased by again a few months later and stopped for gas again. Decided to try a pair on. Two steps and I immediately knew I wanted them. I no longer limp (when wearing the oofos that is) and am able to last 4 to 5 hours longer than I have been on my feet before the oofos. I'll be wearing them for life now because of my injury and I can say I walk with way more confidence now and way less pain. I'm also 280 lbs so not a small man. These shoes have been holding up well.

I appreciate that this isn't the typical youtube shill video, but... You talked about stuff, like "7.5 ounces" that literally no one cares about and left out critical information such as the fit. This shoe obviously doesn't have laces or a tongue, it's a bootie, so how does it fit? Would it work for high volume feet? Would it work for someone with a very high instep? Would it work for someone with pencil feet? I'm sure anyone looking at this highly overpriced shoe is already familiar with oofos, the actual sole of the shoe is the same thing you get on the sandals everyone is already familar with but what about the rest? Does it have an insole? Is it removable? Is the upper stretchy?

It never ceases to amaze me how ppl will buy these fad shoes. Like those barefoot toe shoes. I looked at a pair of these oofos sandals and if the cost $10 to make id be surprised. China is throwing it to people.
@jeffhicks84282 ай бұрын
I mean. You're not wrong that this product has very high margins, however you're way off the mark. These aren't really a fad, though they are hugely popular, but they've been hugely popular since they came out in 2011, nearly 15 years ago. They're also not made in China, and have never been made in China, though there are a lot of well known counterfeits of this product which are in fact made in China. You're right in that they probably don't cost more than $10 to manufacture, all in. But the reason these are so popular and well loved is because they are very unique. I have tried basically every product on the market, and there really isn't anything else quite the same as what Oofos offers. There is another brand that was launched less than a year later in 2012 call Telic which sold very similar products but they've all but been put out of business by Oofos which dominated the segment. Other brands do make clones or knock offs of the Oofos, such as the Sketchers "Go Recover" line, but again they are nothing like the Oofos. I am skeptically minded and approached the Oofos with skepticism, but after trying the product and literally dozens of other similar products it's safe to say that the Oofos is a good product and one that is unlike anything else on the market. The closest thing you can get to the Oofoam midsole is some versions of New Balance Fresh Foam X, but even that is not quite the same. That's not to say the product doesn't have downsides as well. Because the material is so compliant, they don't offer a lot of structure or support especially in larger sizes and stability can be a potential issue. They're also known for being very slippery when wet. Lastly the cost is a real concern. The Oofos sandals used to sell for under $30. Now you would be lucky to find the basic models for under $60. Is it worth it? I think that depends on your expendable income. To me they are worth it because it's a good product that improves my life and it is unlike anything else on the market, so there is nothing else that's like it. What makes it different? The compound they're using, whatever it is, because they don't give any real information besides marketing nonsense, is extremely soft and compliant with very finely tuned resiliency. Somehow they work well for light people and heavy people too. Also, just to be clear. Competitor products such as the Crocs Mellow Recovery, or the Sketchers Go Recover, to the nearly defunct Telic, or even the Hoka Ora Recovery, all of these products also cost about the same $60. So there's that.
