The Ultimate Rappel: 900ft into a Bottomless Mine

This has to be the deepest mine shaft we have ever tried to rope down. We could not find the bottom of it, but it is said to go to the 900-foot level. We tried to rappel down it with the rope we had but ran out before we got to the bottom and it took everything to get out.
This mine is owned by Chris Adams so contact him if you want to go or help him rehab it. Thanks .

That' sounds good for a new start for young people trying to find something to do with their life but how far can anyone expand on their own life if they aren't able to do more than what someone else wants them to do. So I think give a little to get a little and soon that little bit by little bit will be greater than any other.. like any good friend ships is always built up through time .

Thank you for mentioning that patented mining claims are private property. It's sad that so many people don't respect private property. I always ask the people I catch trespassing if I can get their address so I can go rummage through their home while they're rummaging through my ore dumps

Unbelievable… Thanks for sharing your awesome adventures Jeff and Lila.. You guys are legends.. Wonderful video editing to guys.. There is a place called Burra in South Australia where they were mining ⛏ copper..in the late 1800 So hot in the summer time so a lot of people dug in the old deep creek bed side walls to make a room to sleep and live in.. Unfortunately.. when it rains out that way.4 inches of rain 🌧 in a few hours and then those old dry creek beds filled up with water 💦 and hundreds died. A lesson learned. Cheers Famo59 🍻👍⛏

Dear Jeff, we have those same mics and love them! On a vid yet to come out, though, a magnet was lost from a small slip and fall, so we were holding our breath with you climbing those ladders! Also, we couldn't catch our breath while you were climbing the ladders. We don't know if anyone else did, but we heard this weird burst of wind right before your oxygen meter went off in the beginning. We also did smash that like button, built a time machine, went back and smashed it again and again and again, then realized we are caught in a vicious time slip cycle and can't get out. Please send help.

Sh1t happens. Pard and I were chipping away at a nearly all-metal wall one day underground. I was holding the sample bag and light and was seeing little puffs of gasseous sulfur (diox maybe?) released from the impact, and also a spark from the pyrite that ignited that little cloud. Little 1" fire demons dancing around. No fire there though- we were ankle deep in water and it was all solid rock workings.

Running out of oxygen, I thought that was another suspicious noise that decreased the 02 level. The wife is quite the adventurer which is truly a great one to have along on your adventures. It takes a lot of stamina and courage to climb and go down those long shafts. It would really suck getting about halfway up and no way to proceed. Very interesting mine to explore, a little long but you can't just stop watching because of that.

A fire inside a mine is a terrifying thought. It would burn like a torch sucking air from one side and just blazing out the other direction. Not to mention it would consume all the available oxygen too. The sound would be a deafening roar. Just a super scary scenario.

You know I always like to see a couple where they share the same passion and she's down there and she knows it's dangerous so do you but you both share the same passion and she's right beside you that's beautiful it's a lot of couples in this world that don't do that so I tip my hat off to her she's a brave woman for even going down there I wouldn't go down there I'm chicken I sure would like to see what whatever is laying the eggs in your drift

That two hole outhouse reminded me of camping at camp Steiner in Utah (not sure if I spelled that correctly) it was way back in the day growing up I went there in the boy scouts. There was a two hole outhouse there too. We called it the gang toitie lol. I remember there was a big lake that was safe. And a short distance away there was a lake, more like swamp and it was filled with leaches.

That's DRAGON SLIME on the floor. Next High Tide in Sumonga will drive them to you! 😥😥😂🤣 They'll have to use the caves & tunnel systems if enough plastic accumulates in the basin.
