It genuinely surprises how many games this series has, on one hand I’m impressed that they make such a long spanning story but on the other I wish it was more compact like a trilogy, kinda like the Utawarerumono trilogy wish you should totally make a RECAPitation on.

only thing about this games' story that i dislike is that its implied that Julius is the very last belmont. i kinda wish he got a kid or something to continue the bloodline

Well technically, Julius would still be the last Belmont anyways because this is where the timeline for Castlevania ends. Just saying.

One thing you can like about this ending is that is opens up the castlevania series to have new big bads not named Dracula. Not that I mind it personally but you always get those loud whining types " ugh Dracula again?" "Ganon's the last boss how orginal" "oh look it's Sigma again" etc, etc. Unfortunately they never made a game past this point in the story, honestly would have liked to see where they would go with it, would death be hanging out with the new big bad or would they make some new right hand recurring boss, things like that I'd like to know.

I wouldn't understand that complaint. Dracula is less a character (though he's also a character) than a manifestation of something. A new big bad would be the same in this series. It'd be missing the point. Though they've done non dracula vampire before as well. Usually there's other characters trying to revive him ect.

I wish I had an opportunity to play this one, but I have no way to emulate Nintendo DS games and when I had the opportunity to use my brother's handheld console, I didn't buy this game in time to experience it. But that is one of the primary reasons I enjoy your RECAPitations for games I did not get the chance to play. Great delivery on your script as always, and I'll rendezvous with you on the next battlefield.

It makes me wonder if Alucard's mother wasn't a reincarnation of Dracula's fiance before he transformed. And possibly later on reincarnated again as Mina and that's why Soma is so in love with her.

Aria of Sorrow is probably my favorite Igavania of all time, but I never actually tried Dawn of Sorrow because of the touch controls. I do like the DS for slow moving JRPGs but not for fast paced action games that depend on the stylus to draw something in the middle of the action.

The drawing of seal is definitely one of the worst part of the game brought up inany reveal. Mostly you're stressed to draw it correctly right at the end of a boss fight. Other than that it doesn't effect most of the game play.

There are rom hacks for Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow that makes the seals automatic by default, but without that, the other circumstance of this going on is the extra story mode

Like I asked before: *What happened to the Crimson Stone?* They should've made more games centering on that stone for more Belmonts or other vampire hunters who are descendants of other Belmont allies to destroy.
